Many things in this world have a price these days, but what items/systems have a price, although you think they should be free?

as for me, I'd say public toilets in shopping places (the ones you have to pay to actually use). It's pretty ridiculous paying for such a thing. Even worse when you don't have the correct change and you go to the nearest shop to break down your cash notes for coins. I know it's not much to pay but still. :p

Yeah, I also think that all Public toilets should be free. It is wrong to take advantage of something all humans need to do sometimes. In some grocery stores here in Norway (I don`t know if it is in other Places too), we have to pay extra for a bag. I think that these bags should be free. Their cost is like nothing at all, but almost nothing is still something :p

Service. The waiters in restaurants here pre-include an absurdly high tip for themselves here, on the bill itself, which is wrong since their service is usually terrible anyway. If their service really is good, them people would tip them anyway. I like how it's not done at all and even disliked in Japan.

In my place, some public toilets are free and some aren't. But they always have change so you don't need to buy some unecessary stuff to break down your money.

On the other hand, regarding (plastic) bag for groceries or any other shop, I agree to pay some money. It should raise awareness about plastic use, therefore at least you could bring your own bag :p

I've never seen a public toilet that you have to pay for. Keep it classy, east coast.

I agree with GerudoWarrior, having to pay for shopping bags is a bit ridiculous. They're inexpensive but most stores give them for free. Bleh.

Never even heard that you have to pay to use public toilets in some places . Other than that they should make refills for fast food places for the soda drinks free. No point saying "oh 25 cents for a refill" nowadays when people just refill their drinks secretly without paying

Well, the reason you tip your waiters/waitresses is typically because the restaurant owners can't be bothered to pay their employees a living wage and force that responsibility onto the customers.

I never knew about the toilets that sucks! I think the things that should be free are the cloth bags they offer in stores, I don't know if other countries have them but in America you have to pay for those if you want to be eco-friendly.

I think maybe vending machines, I mean we already pay for the foods in restaurants and stores so vending machines should be free...or at least I think so.

Cloth bags are much more expensive than plastic bags to manufacture, though, so I think it's right to pay for them.

This sounds like a piece of heaven to me :p Free vending machines.
But some greedios would take everything from it since it's free, not everyone waits their turn, sadly.
