(when I say *hax, I'm talking about ironhax, browserhax, oothax, etc etc)

What do you guys think of the fresh new homebrew launcher that is *hax 2.5?

If you don't know what *hax 2.5 is, here's what it can do:
  • enhance your games with HANS, play region free (he fixed some games that didnt work).
  • make and play romhacks (yes, that means randomizers)
  • make it so if your on an old firmware you can run games that normally require that you update before you play games (FW Version Spoof)
  • When using HANS to launch software, press HOME to take screenshots!
  • When using HANS to launch software, and want to go back to homebrew launcher, press L+R+D-Pad down+B to go back to the homebrew launcher!
  • Play your games in a different region and language! (Smash bros in japanese for example)
  • Spoof the eshop, which means you can go on the eshop without latest firmware
  • Most people wouldn't care about this, but we get more RAM.
  • More access to 3DS services!
  • all the things you'd normally be able to do before this

Well, thanks for that post because I was so busy getting autoboot to run on my 3DS that I wasn't even aware of that new *hax :p

There are some features that don't really interest me (either because I already have them by other means or because I just don't find them interesting :p) but I like the screenshot, back to HBL, more RAM and spoof eShop features. Especially the spoof eShop one :D

You forgot processor overclocking on New3DS systems (286MHz -> 804MHz per core). I have yet to make a romhack that works with one of my games (For now, when I tried romhacking PAD Z, it wonderfully crashed like a charm. How nice it is to see such an elegant black screen, and get the honour of having to hold the Power button), but, there's way too many good features that came with *hax 2.5, and I can't wait to mess a bit with the "news:s" service (Notifications), so, I could try making small "games" that could exploit it (Like, you beat the game, and you get a notification for it).

But, the best part is definitely the eShop spoof. The days where I had to update my console because my friend updated his Smash 4 game are now over. However, thanks for the tricks with HANS, I wasn't aware that HOME was used for screenshots (it just made the console lag), and about the L+R+D-Down+B trick.

Oh right I forgot lol

News:s is something i'm looking forward to use, I'm thinking of making a notification maker from lpp-3ds.
