SSB for Wii U Thoughts on Mewtwo, Lucas, and Fighter Ballot?

My thoughts on the three are:
Mewtwo looks awesome, can't wait until he becomes available and I get him early :D His final smash looks OP and he isn't a clone of Lucario at all (I hear people all over the web that say Lucario and Mewtwo are clones).

Lucas is pretty good, wierd they didn't show the final smash but it may be because they haven't programmed his FS yet. That down-A's range though

Fighter Ballot is awesome, but I'm thinking that a lot of people will put Shrek to be in Smash :p (I'll probably be one of them LOL)
 
I am really excited at what Nintendo has done for the Super Smash Brothers game for Wii U and 3ds . And I really like the DLC too :D I think that maybe they have changed their mind on thinking that DLC was a bad idea and ... maybe they might make more DLC :0

With that ballot thing , surely they will come up with more DLC characters :cat:
 
It appears to me that Mewtwo can attack at the end of his special recovery (it's clearly some sort of teching like in Melee/Project M). His side special now can reflect projectiles and cause damage with said projectile. He can also slide around (as you can see before his up smash in the vid). His back air looks buffed but I cannot be for certain. Looks neat to see his moves stay the same (with some tweaks on Shadow Ball) although we are not sure if they are all the same if we haven't seen them.
Lucas was pretty unexpected with custom moves for Ness being like Lucas's (but Porky's theme was really out of place in Onett). His trophy leads me to question of any official sequels but at least he made it. I'm glad they buffed his back air because it's hard to use and was unsatisfying in Brawl. We've seen only some of his moves but it appears they are all the same as before. In regards to the video there was a clever reference to the game in it. Nice to see all of his skins referencing his game too. I'm guessing Lucas would have customs that work like Ness's excluding the side special. His Rope Snake also has a longer range so that could be helpful (and a reliable recovery).
 
I cant wait for lucas ness is great but lucas is really cool to see him again and mewto is cool to i remember playing the game cube but im not a big pokemon fan but i heard he was op so i played him for the ballot for a new dlc is a great idea as well best nintendo direct i seen so far
 
Mewtwo looked pretty awesome in the trailer they showed from the last Direct,but I can't really say much about him regarding his moveset since I hadn't played Melee or Project M,although I'm pretty excited myself to see how the legendary Kanto Pokemon will play. :)
Returning Lucas as DLC in Smash for 3DS/Wii U was very unexpected,with previous statements from Sakurai himself about future DLC,but it was great seeing him back as a playable fighter coming soon enough,and for the next months,until his arrival on June,I guess I'm going to be playing as Lucas in Brawl,for training. :D
The Smash Ballot is a nice option,but there'll be most likely chances that people will request characters like SpongeBob,Goku and others that have little to no relation to Nintendo,and gaming in general,soI suppose that adding a few more restrictions on these request will make it feel less random,but still,a decent little feature for more DLC characters for the future of Smash 4. :thumbsup:
 
I dislike Mewtwo.
I seriously thought Lucas returning was a joke, but I really hope they make him better in this game.
I chose Kumatora for the Fighter Ballot. I just had to, can't let the opportunity of more Earthbound characters go to waste!
Ice Climbers returning would also be awesome, although it's probably unlikely considering I read somewhere that they weren't adding them again cause the series has basically no popularity anymore, which makes sense. But they were still amazing characters.

It's not because of popularity, it's because Sakurai had problems programming the Ice Climbers into the 3DS version of the game(3DS couldn't handle having 8 players on-screen). Sakurai didn't want the Ice Climbers to be Wii U exclusive so he cut them out.

ooh I see, that makes sense then. Still, I saw an interview of him saying that so that could partly be the case as well. So now I doubt they'll ever have them unless they get a million votes for them lol.
Rosalina+Luma are the new Ice Climbers anyway xp

There's actually evidence, you know when sometimes the crowd cheers a fighters name? Well if you be Villager against 3 lvl 9 cpu's on Yoshi's Island, the crowd will cheer saying "Popo Nana!"(Which are the Ice Climbers). There's also full models too.

They could at least put it in a DLC pack for the New 3DS or Wii U so that... I still couldn't play as Ice Climbers because I don't have either of those and I really want them both. About Lucas and wolf though, I don't think they will make an appearance because Sakurai doesn't like DLC

I think it's pretty cool that they brought back Mewtwo he looks really OP. U am also glad they brought back Lucas me and my friend got a little upset when they didn't add him. In the fighter ballot I actually vote for Kite. If you guy's don't know who that is just search up ".hack Kite" But yeah I voted for him because well he is one of my favorite characters from .hack

While I was excited a while a go for Mewtwo, I just want him as soon as possible. I need to play as him!!
The most surprising part of the of Direct was Lucas's reveal. I love Mother 3, and I was really upset when Lucas was cut from Smash 4, and I'm super glad he's back.

I'm so glad that mewtwos final smash was not a notmal mega transformation. Personally, I hate transformation final smashes. I also like how they used y instead of x.

I honestly wish they were there in the first place. Dlc for 10 dollars for all characters are just not worth it in my opinion. For a few characters, its just too much money. With the money, you can buy a mk8 dlc, which is more worth it. Personally, I really think it is a no for me buying the dlc, its just too expensive.

I don't really know for the DLC, since they didn't mentioned (in the French subtitles of the ND) the prices. But I'm definitely hyped for Mewtwo and Lucas to come back. I wasn't a Mewtwo or Lucas main back in the Melee/Brawl era, but I did enjoy playing as them, so, I like the idea of having them back.

As for the Character Ballot... the idea is good, but I'm afraid. Afraid to see all of those "#GOKU4SMASH #RIDLEY4SMASH #*Insert Character That Doesn't Deserve To Be In Smash Here*4SMASH" fanboys going wild again because they think their character, who doesn't deserve a character spot in a Smash game, might be in. Thankfully, Nintendo's behind the ballot to see and probably get rid of all the jokes. This aside, I don't really know who I'm going to vote for. There's a lot of characters I'd like to see in SSB4 that are from 1st party Nintendo games or 2nd-Party Nintendo games (not really Ninty games, but made by studios bought by Ninty).
