Yeah, I think that is pretty apparent, because even if you tell them that you are pretending and will attack at any moment, they will still attack and you will be K.O'ed I think that too many people die by underestimating their oppoent which sucks :/

Tip one was pretty obvious I'd say never to just leave your 3ds in an online match , your defeat will be humiliating I guess that tip 2 was really useful I guess . Many people do underestimate opponents which then they catch them off guard because sometimes it's very easy to turn the tables with a small mistake

My tips are :always try to predict your opponent, Never be too agressive or they will catch you with shields. Be sure to use reflectors wisely to stop projectile spammers. When your opponent acts like a noob, this is your chance to go all out to trick your opponent in their own mind game. Also never try to use a character who has a weak recovery like DK or little mac when yoyr opponent has high launch power. Last one is always watch for counters. If they counter spam like counter 8 times in the same spot use a grab each time. This will force your opponent to get a new technique.

A good tip for online smashing would be to always change up your game play so that you won't get predicted. Also if a person is doing the same thing over and over then try to counter it with something else instead of shielding or running away try attacking it. Interesting things happen when you change your play style.

don't try and play the same person all the time. You need varieties. Just set a match best out of 3 or something. If your playing with your friends try not to play on the same stage over and over again. Stage size are different and variety is a good thing

Predict you oponents attack and always have great combos! Its just about the reads man! And just learn your match ups and learn your characters weakpoints. Learn how to short hop as well.
