I main exclusively Roy in Smash 4, and after I've taken a decent number of locals and been playing the character since I bought him on day one, I'd say I'm a pretty competent Roy main. Now, I'm aware of some of his tricks, like his incredible sdi out of Mario's dthrow~utilt~utilt, his wavebounce double edge dance catching opponents off guard near the ledge and killing, but I would like to hear other things from you guys as well. I'll share information and follow-ups and true combos if anyone has anything to contribute.

Down throw up tilt up air/up special can connect, but it is better to either nair or fair. Wace bouncing is good for mix ups but I personally prefer goin all agressive. It is possible to fair to dair but it requires your opponent to not DI. Other than that, grabs and nair are your best friend

Those are good combos, I prefer going aggressive too, I will sometimes do a wavebounce or b reverse neutral b in tech chases, but that requires a lot of player input in such a short window to figure out. If the opponent is a fast faller and at 0% AND DIs poorly, this will be a true combo; falling uair ~ turnaround jab (depends on where you land) ~ grab, pummel a bit, dthrow ~ jab fthrow this time. If you're fast enough, you can catch them before they hit the ground and possibly tech, but that won't happen, just hit em with a dash attack after the fthrow

All I know about Roy is you can Nair with the first hit into an Utilt and you can Dthrow into Utilt or UpB. I also think you can use Double Edge Dance from a jab. Personally I like Marth better as he has better range and I think he's easier to use but it's up to you.

Weak jab leads into forward smash
