I'm dying to get a shiny and oval charm for shiny hunting but I can't seem to ever fill my dex up. And tips?

I've never done it either, so the only insight I really have on this, is to do wonder trade, look on the GTS for ones you don't have and trade Pokemon you're willing to trade, and/or ask around to find people with Pokemon you need and see about a two way trade (they trade you and then you trade it back to them) so you can at least fill the Pokedex. Would need people who are very willing to trade though.

I've been doing a lot of wonder trading and I get a lot of Pokemon that way. And what I would do for now, is not to worry about full evolution lines yet. Like, say if you get a Bulbasaur, don't try and get Ivysaur and Venasaur right after, just store the Bulbasaur in the box (I advise numerical order like the Pokedex itself) so you can keep track of what you have and don't have. When you get all you need, you can go back, and hatch eggs to evolve and fill in missing Pokemon, if they can breed.

The easiest way I think is to first go through the region and using your dexnav so you know how many Pokemon you need. Then comes the hard part. The dex will still need a lot of Pokemon and there are two ways to get them. Either trade them or use poke bank. I am not sure if there is any other way, but I think this is the easiest.

Hey does anyone hear know how the shiny charm works and if it really makes a difference? I want to know before I waste my time on the gts and wonder trade because the way i see things is that people are selling their shinies for actual money. I even recently sold a shiny mewtwo for 80$. I had got it when trading the mewtwo for a Darkrai. I got surprised at how easily I sold the shiny, and from that day on I have been looking for shinies but they are impossible to hunt and was wondering if the shiny charm actually works?

The shiny charm drastically increases the odds of shiny Pokemon showing up from 1/4096 to 1/1365, which can also be stacked with the Masuda method to increase it further to 1/512. For the time being though it would be better suited to use the Masuda method or if you're using XY, going to the Friend Safari which is the same 1/512 odds.

I hope it helps! It's helped me so far, my Gen1 boxes are almost fully filled. Only a few spots to fill and I'll have all Gen 1 Pokemon on X. Now I'm torn with the new games though, I may move all of my X Pokemon to Moon when I get it, so it will be my new main game.

kek, i started working this recently to, but haven't had max time to do it full day. anyways though its easy reeling people in on GTS if youre smart enough. for pokemons that evolve by trade an hold special item, just BP farm an trade it for the item. example: catch a swirlix an trade bp for a whipped dream, post to GTS an wait a bit. i got a aromatise like this much easily... for legends, just high level something like garchomp (or whatever its called) bp farm an give it a special item an wait. i suggest levels 85+ minimal. it might take while, but if youre patient it works.

i teached all that to myself. i am my own sensei hehehe :p the best way to learn what works is to experiment on your own an try different things, then know what best for you.

i personally like to call the tricks above "bait" kek. i know it may seem kinda crude to word it that way, but thats part of my fiery self hehe. sorry guys :p

I find that people will trade most anything on the GTS for Shieldons. Thus, I breed them like crazy! It will take a while to get a female one, though

What I did was simple:

1. Hatch Pokemon which you don't/rarely get in the game, such as a starter (I used Chimchar)
2. Once you have hatched them, you can give them on the GTS for Pokemon you want
3. It is preferred you take the non-evolved ones since you get them faster. (For evolvable Pokemon)
4. Use Exp. Share, Lucky egg and go on a spot with high levelled Pokemon.

I got my Pokedex filled up in 2 weeks using this method

I find farming phione and trading those can get quite good results. People will trade quite a few things for zorua or lucario.
