Gen 6 Tips/Rules For A Pokemon Nuzlocke Challenge?

I just got Pokemon AS (Alpha Sapphire) and I was wondering if anyone could help explain the rules of it? Alternatively, could you give me some tips? All I really know is that it's supposed to make Pokemon a lot more difficult and I was hoping to try it at least once.

• Rule #1
  You can only capture the first Pokémon you encounter in each new area you explore.
• Rule #2
  If one of your Pokémon faints, you must release it. It is considered dead.
• Rule #3
  You must nickname everything.

These are basically the only rules to a Nuzlocke and Rule #3 is completely optional but usually encouraged

There are other rules you can use as not allowing your self to use items during battles or changing the Battle Style to Set, but these rules like Rule #3 are completely optional
