Hey Guys. Can't catch any Legendaries? Well Now you are in the right place because I got some Tips! Anyway, Let's go to the tips!

First, You may need to Save before Catching the Legendary you want. You can save before any Legendary. If you forgot to save, Don't Worry! Legendaries will respawn when you beat the Elite 4. If you faint the Legendary before saving, Soft reset the game. Soft resetting is turning off the game after a point where you saved on. You can also do it by pressing L + R + START.

Those are some tips! Hope it helped you!

Actually, Soft reseting is holding L+R+Start. This restarts the game without having to exit the game it self. Also I'm pretty sure legends only respawn after you beat the elite four again.

It's also a good idea to keep a pokemon that knows false swipe or hold back to keep the legendary at 1 HP, making it easier to catch. Also giving it a status effect such as Paralysis with Thunder Wave or Sleep with Hypnosis makes the catching process much easier. There's actually a formula to catching a pokemon, I'll link it here. The catch rate varies by generation, so each gen is somewhat different from the previous.

You can also try weakening a pokemon. Best to weaken it with false swipe and use something like hypnosis or spore to put it to sleep. And if possible fight the legendary at night so you can use dusk balls effectively. If you do that I think thats the highest your chance can get to catch a legendary without using a master ball. Yeah you are missing quite a lot of tips and stuff. Also catching O-power. I think that is a thing.

I agree.

Its always a good option to save before fighting a legendary. What I usually do is carry about 50 Pokeballs and have a Pokemon that is equal level or a bit lower to ensure that it wont kill it. Make sure it knows False Swipe and any status effecting move such as Thunder Wave. Once the Pokemon is at low HP, bring out your highest lv Pokemon and make it take the hits while attempting to capture the legendary. Refill your Pokemon's HP if it gets to low. Of course, you can use Ultra Balls if you'd like, but I have extreme luck when using Pokeballs. Once you did it, congratulate yourself.

As the others say, it's a good idea to save before attempting to catch the pokemon. You'll also want to bring a pokemon with spore or thunder wave as status effects make pokemon somewhat easier to catch. False Swipe or Hold Back is another useful move to have to lower the pokemon's health without having to worry about accidentally fainting it. I'd always bring a fair number of pokeballs too. Some of them I'd recommend are as follows: A quick ball; you might get lucky and catch it first turn. Dusk Balls; Good chance of catching it if it's nighttime or in a cave. Timer Balls; Higher chance of catching it if a lot of turns have passed. And finally Ultra Balls; These have a better catch rate than normal pokeballs. Hope this helps!

To catch legends use Hypnosis or Thunder Wave.Use Dusk Balls or Ultra Balls. You can use False swipe to leave the opponent with one hp.

If your going for highest catch-rate possible, induce a status and use a dusk ball at night. Dusk balls actually work more than ultra balls. Then again? I caught all my legends in regular poke balls.

Serious?
Well i guess that's not to surprising considering how much easier it is to catch legendaries in gen 6.
So what status would work more sleep or paralysis

Any status. I've found sleepers to be harder for some reason tho

I save the game before I battle the legendary. Make sure to bring tons of pokeballs of all different types. Ultra balls and great balls are the main ones I use but it is possible to get one without those two types. Legendaries are obviously harder to catch so don't expect to get one on the first try (unless you're lucky like me and caught mewtwo with ultra balk first try or you get a critical capture). Next posion, paralyze, conduze, sleep, etc the legendary. Posion may be best because it will slowly weaken the enemy but that also may cause it to faint eventually so be careful.

There are only two things I bring when I'm trying to catch a legendary, one thing is my Klefki, the second thing is different types of Pokeballs. If I'm trying to catch a legendary I always bring my Klefki so it can paralyze, confuse or make it fall asleep. And then I keep throwing Ultra balls or whatever ball until it's caught.Quick balls are also useful, if you just ran into a legendary throw a Quick ball because there might be a chance of capturing it.

I used to have my Alomama thing with Heal Pulse to heal in case I got into the yellow area and another shot would kill it, and then put it to sleep with Gardevoir's Hypnosis although I realised Yawn is way better for that. Then I used Scizor's false swipe to down it to 1 hp and then spam ultra balls and hope one of them is a critical ball >.<
