that's the question. I have been thinking about buying a secondhand NA 3DS since some games never make it to the EU and there are a lot more gamecodes around for the NA. Should I?

Info on the 3ds: I found a couple of damaged 3ds-s with a price between 15 and 30 dollars. I am reading about the problems to see if I could fix them. I would also have to pay the ridiculously high shipping costs. There price with shipping would range from 23 euro to about 30 euro.

No! :eek:I love my 3ds! And I never give away my first one of a console! Otherwise I would consider it though.

I'm kidding, of course :3

I'll only trade my 3DSXL when I'm able to get the New.
But I've said that to show you how America loses sometimes :p
Inazuma is one of my favorite games and I can't play :/

In my opinion, it is ok to have diferent region consoles, for exclisives, but just if you can find one really cheap. In my country you can buy used 3DS for about 120€, I bought mine for 75€, fully working, no games, just charger and stylus, oh and SD card.. And in addition it is in like freshly bought condintion :D

I don't think it's worth it, since you already have an EU 3DS. I know it can be annoying not having some games that are available for NA users, but we don't get it that bad. xD

forking out money to fix a broken NA 3DS and the large shipping price can be a little too costly.

invest some of that extra money for the N3DS! ;)

I guess really my opinion is for you to wait and maybe think about t=getting a NA 3ds later . Try to find one with a good price . and also maybe consider a NA New 3ds since well , it is way better . I wouldn't really buy another 3ds for another region but in your case I might as well . Unless you enjoy having 2 3ds' i wouldn't suggest so until maybe your 3ds is in an unplayable condition

No. Based on availability, chances are you'll never get to make a big 'gaming profit' - the amount of money you save from, say, gamecodes of giveaways, won't be much more than you spend to ship and repair the NA 3DS. Not only that, but buying NA 3DS games and shipping those as well - I doubt anyone would do that for too many games, as the main games everyone wants get released in both regions anyway.

I agree with @Mikaya, in the sense where even though we're screwed for some games and most of the game codes here, it wouldn't be worth it to spend more cash on an NA 3DS if you already have an EU one.
But, in contrary to what Mikaya said, don't save for the N3DS. For now, most of its selling points are just the embedded CPP (compatible with only a few games), and a failed port a game that used to be great back in the Wii era. Plus, I bet it'll end up doing worse than the DSi in term of exclusives, so, don't throw your cash through a window, and stay with your 3DS.

Plus, most of the countries in EU (I used the Internet's power to check it) didn't got any promo for the N3DS, hence why it's totally not worth buying it (you'd end up paying full price) if you have a 3DS.

Thanks for all the advice. :thumbsup:I figured I won't buy it since you guys are probably right. I'm not going to buy the N3DS either (I totally agree with @D4rkDragon ) because it is way too expensive compared to what it adds. I don't play MH4U and for other games my own 3ds does perfectly fine. Maybe sometime in the future. Some shops here will let you try the console so before I even consider buying a N3DS I want to see what it can do.
