What are some of the toughest bugs and fishes to catch from your experience in Animal Crossing: New Leaf or any of the previous titles, besides the tarantula and scorpion?

Stupid rich Tortimer's island beetles. They made me sad.

I've only had difficulty catching those wretched sharks. My alignment with the fishing rod always fails :(. The beetles are no prob though.

I don't really know. I'm really good at catching sharks so I can't say for that. I'm better with a net than a fishing rod so there aren't any real problematic bugs.

I guess I'll say sharks, but only because in comparison to everything else.

I find it hard to catch sharks on tortimer island and also there are the gold bugs and the other bug that gives lots of money. but other that those( and of course the tarantula and scorpion) i think that all most all of the bugs not to hard to get but some fish give you a hard time though :p

I always have difficulties trying to catch a Shark, since the moment they bite your rod, you have a fraction of a second to press that A button. The Golden Stag is also hard to catch, since the slightest movement scares it away. Even when you are sneaking up on it, you still scare it away.

The beetles no that stupid island you have to wait until morning or night to catch them and I never find the time to do it.

scorpions and tarantulas are easy as long as you see them first. my brother paid me 5 bucks to catch him a scorpion in city folk. easiest money i ever made xD

i'd say the hardest is... i think it was the char? whichever one is only at waterfalls cuz i wasn't sure if it meant the base or top of the falls. coelocanths are also a pain just cuz of the rain/snow requirement, and horseshoe crabs are annoying cuz at first i thought you could get them at the island and spent like a week trying to find em before i found out you couldn't xD also butterflies are annoying when they fly just out of reach over water ;-;

For some reason I've always had more trouble with the Hercules beetle than I've had with the Golden stag? It's kinda weird because the Golden stag is supposed to be the hardest to catch...
I've never had a problem with sharks, because if you look away from the screen and listen for when they bite, it's really easy to get them. I can't catch them when the sound is off though ^^;
I've never caught an Orchid Mantis though! I've only seen one and I didn't realize what it was until I had accidentally scared it off ;v;
And whatever the fish is that you can only catch at the waterfall! I've never been able to find that one...

One word..........Sharks. I find it impossible to catch any type of shark!!! Beetles and other fish swimming are absolutely fine and a joy to catch. However, that comes to an end when a shark decides to navigate the area. Seriously, I think i should go to shark Fishing school. :)

I actually don't have to much trouble catching sharks, I consider myself a game fishing pro >.<

Bees are tough for me to catch, but it's so rewarding! :cat:

Sharks ;~;

Bees are hard to catch in my opinion, I've never caught one.Whenver I shake a tree and a bee-hive-thingy falls out and the bees come out I always have my net ready but I never managed to catch it. >.<

Catching a green bass has been the hardest for me. Considering it's the only thing I've caught in City Folk XD
