TriForce Heroes has been reviewed by all the big-time sites that get on Metacritic and whatnot, and most of the review scores aren't low but aren't that high either.
GameRevolution is enthusiastic, giving it a 4.5 out of 5. GameSpot, on the other hand, is less impressed and gave it a 5 out of 10, citing its repetitive single-player and poor story. Most of the scores are 6-7/10.

The common thread in all these reviews, even the high-scoring ones, is that the game is a good multiplayer game but the single-player is blah. There's online so it seems well and dandy for multiplayer gamers \: D/

For those of you who are buying it, how does the 'single player is repetitive/story is poor' perception affect you?

Seeing this actually put me off of getting the game for a while.. I mean, I mostly play single player games, and don't really have friends who would be interested in getting a TLoZ game, I guess I could play with them using the download play system, but it seems unlikely they'd buy it and if I were to play online, I'd probably lag like crazy (like I did in the demo). Although I'm sure I'll get it eventually, I think I'll end up buying Yo-Kai Watch first. On a side-note, I was actually planning to get it tomorrow since I had alot of fun playing the demo XD

Yea after playing the demo this really doesn't surprise me. Nintendo has done their best to try putting the single player into obscurity, which makes me wonder why they even bothered adding it in. I didn't care for playing online with random morons who kept killing themselves or cursing my screen in frustration because the few icons they have aren't really good for trying to convey a solution to a puzzle. I'd have only bout it if the single player was good, considering that school is when I play my 2ds the most and I don't have Internet for that, but they somehow managed to make it even worse then the single player in the four swords games. At least those games gave the extra characters basic ai so they weren't useless. So yea, I won't be buying this game.

Now after seeing mixed reviews about it, I'm not really sure to get it or not. What's so bad about the doll links in single player? they can't be that bad, right? xD

I thought it was a highly anticipated title, and I personally enjoyed the demo myself. Seeing as it got just average reviews, is it really worth the money? xP

Well, it's decided. I'm not getting this game and that's that. I almost never play 3DS games online (other than Pokemon), so I wanted to play tons of single player, but it turns out it sucks. Oh well, I'll probably get MH4U now. At least this helped me avoid getting a game I wouldn't enjoy. Thanks spinner!

These scores are invalid anything below 8 is wrong. 8.8/8 so gr8 m8 no h8

I don't really plan on getting it. The demo was OK but it did seem like without 2 friends to play with it would not be that great and online with other people and no voice chat was a real challenge. I would prefer if they had given it a better single player; if they did I might have bought it.

Yeah, I agree with most of the critics regarding this game and its flaws. It almost seems like more of a joke-type Zelda game, not really following a strict story-like progression and focusing much more instead on what its multiplayer could do. They should have spent more time on the main story, really.
