What is your favourite type of game style in zelda games.
Is it the old classic where your flat.
or is it the 3d ones with dungeons.
how about the ones you have to fight in like hyrule warriors.
or is it the platform one.
how about ones like link between worlds and triforce heros.

You pick.

It's hard to pick favorite Zelda game "type" because almost every game they create is unique. but if I had to choose it would be the 3D games (because Twilight Princess is my favorite) but that's not to say that it's better than ALBW or Hyrule Warriors (Which I haven't had the chance to fully experience) but, I will say that they are both enjoyable games, with their own pros and cons, but I chose 3D because of my favorite game, and the beauty of the graphics they make. (I've also never played classic Zelda games, so I can't tell)

I've always preferred the 3D Zelda games since all of them have more complex and realistic mechanisms which 2D or other Zelda games might not have. They also have more opportunities to more challenging and unique puzzle and dungeon system and design. And the different battles and bosses are more epic.

I still kinda like the 2D/Other ones. They're still fun in their own way :p

I always personally prefer top down 2D Zelda because there's just a lot more action going on and less observing to figure out what to do next in the case that things in Dungeons or areas although they are very similar there's so much more you can take advantage of in terms of space for hidden areas and puzzles compared to a 3D game (and the 3D combat can be frustrating at times in most cases against the OoT Skeleton Knight villains like on the Pirate Ship in Bongo Bongo's dungeon because those weren't as fun as I'd hope them to be and it would've been nice to take the Infinity Blade approach to fighting those enemies. 2D has more space for easy mazes and you can still do a lot that way to (like the Lost Woods in the original LoZ NES game). Both are fun but I prefer action like what Four Sword can offer.

I like both 2D and 3D Zelda games. The 2D Zelda games gives you a better perspective and you can easily see what is around you since you the camera doesn't have to follow you around. 3D Zelda games give you a more emercive experience and makes the game feel alive, like Twilight Princess.

I love the 3D Zelda games it helps the player feel more involved in the story where as the flat Zelda games make it seem like you're watching and not involved.

Not to mention the 3D can be a bit creepier too :p

It's REALLY hard to decide on one, it's fun to play 2D but more realistic in 3D.I like 2D for intuitive ideas and extra gimmicks and gameplay mechanics to make nostalgic games,3D games are great for dreams: things you CAN'T do in 2D are easy in 3D but no ones doing anything new with it.... (like with EVERY first person Shooter is exactly the same....I know sidescrolling games suffer too though)
