Hey, I'm new. You may see me around, and i'll post news Now and then... Now first order of business, This:

The New 3DS is getting Unity support, which means more indie games on the market. This was announced at the unite 2015 Tokyo event in japan. This means that there might be some good free games coming to the eshop soon. It probably won't be bad games, but rather games that will be free and fun to play with friends. What do you thing this will bring to the eshop?

Welcome :cat:
It's good enough news for N3DS owners, but I strongly doubt they'll be free. Only first-party eShop games can be free, Nintendo takes its own fee as well from all third-party games so unless Nintendo make some Unity games themselves... I'm not really keen on playing Unity games though, because the one I've played is a strange Bubsy 3D remake (@Alex would know :p). Not that I could if I wanted, seeing as they're making this N3DS-exclusive too.

Wait.. I can play Bubsy 3D on the my N3DSXL?

Best console 2015.

Well, again, another backstab, but, that's not really a big argument for the N3DS... Most of the games made on Unity I've played were meh, so, it'll just be a magnet for one or two indies, and that's all... But I certainly hope indie developers are smart enough to consider using native kits, and target 3DS/2DS as well instead of N3DS only.

So, honestly, they could have done it with the original 3DS, but I guess there are some cash and business stories behind...
But honestly, that will mean that 3DS/2DS owners will be saved, and won't accidentally buy meh Unity games at least (that'll arrive fast, believe me).

That sounds nice that there will be some more indie games on the eShop though they aren't exactly the funnest of the whole games :D I also doubt them being free :/ Though if it were then of course , at least some sort of micro transaction thing . But still is exciting news :)
