So in SSB64, Captain Falcon and Ness are the two hardest characters to unlock in the game. If anyone has the game I'm going to tell you how to unlock both of these characters so that you can use them for fun and what not.
To unlock Captain Falcon:
Beat 1P Mode in less than 20 minutes on any difficulty. After you do that you will be able to challenge Captain Falcon, and beating him will let you play as him. It's pretty simple, just skip all the minigames since they'll only eat your time and jumping off the edge on it won't waste your lives. Nothing else to it.
To unlock Ness:
Beat 1P Mode on Normal Difficulty and set your stocks to 3, and you can't use any continues, so pick the best character you can use and hope for the best. If you lose all 3 stocks at any part of 1P mode then you have to start all over to unlock Ness. I used Kirby and just use his aerials to push everyone off stage, then spiking them with down air. Use whatever strategy you want to, because you're probably going to need it.
