What is the worst luck you have ever had in a battle?
I remember once in Pokemon Platinum, my rival battle took 15-20 minutes because Barry kept on using growl. I could've probably gotten to the first gym in that amount of time :(

This happened against my friend on XY, I had my Staraptor out and he had his Chestnaught, so I naturally picked brave bird and he decided to use Spiky Shield. I decided to switch out before taking any more damage from that shield. Switched to Mega Alakazam, used Psychic, it barely lived. CCesnaught used Pin Missiles, Mega Zam barely lives as well. My stupidity made me switch back to Staraptor where he had a Wood Hammer waiting for me, so it took quite a bit of damage from that. I tried to clutch with Brave bird but he set up Spiky Shield and made Staraptor faint. So I went back to mega zam, and I was being stupid and expected another Spiky Shield (I didn't know Spiky shield failed against special attacks at the time) so I stalled the turn with Calm Mind, and my friend just ended it with Pin Missiles. That's the story of my unluckiest battle, which is why predicting Pokemon is very difficult to do.
 
The worst luck that I had ever had was when in Pokemon White , I was about to beat the Subway Master in the Doubles Train when my opponent suddenly gets these crazy critical hits ... almost three time in a row >.> I hate when these types of things happen >.>
 
Whenever I battle a legendary half of the time I will accidentally ko it out or Ill have a special status move and it doesnt do anything which is annoying -_-. Another time is any of the first rival battles I have done I usually end up having to do a reset because like the OP i end up in a locked battle with growl T_T
 
I remember one time I had been leveling up all my baby Pokémon with the help of Britain (I call him England though) my Umbreon in X, when I was challenged by passerby to a battle.

I don't know what happened my guess is I was distracted or my game freaked out or whatever but before I knew it I was thrown into a battle.

Needless to say I was up against a level 100 team consisting of Charizard (Mega Y), Entei, Raikou, Greninja, Groudon, and Rayquaza.

My team consisting of one level 100 Umbreon, and five level 25 Eevee, Poochyena, Growlithe, and Piplup.

Needless to say my team was practically wiped of the earth :blackeye:
 
Mine was in a double battle in the Maison in OR. I was at 20+, maybe 30+, when we were both down to two pokemon. He had a Hydreigon and Crobat while I had a Dragonite and Serperior. What happened was, when I used Outrage, it went for the Crobat. That was when I lost my streak.
 
I used Focus Blast more than 4 times on a Heatran and all of them missed -_- Then I switched and used Hydro Pump and then also missed that, then my Rotom-W died ;-; Another time was when I caught a Dratini (finally!) from the water, and then I shut the game down without saving :facepalm:
 
One time in my HeartGold I was doing the bug catching contest in National Park. I had my crobat with me and didnt know type matchups all that well at the time. Suddenly a cascoon appeard glimmering and sparly green. It was so beautiful :-: I didnt know flying was supereffective against bug so I accidently killed my first ever shiny.
