I wanna learn animation. I have some pretty good experience in art but dunno if any of it will translate into animation. I tried the 3ds video maker thingie but didn’t put too much effort in it because I can’t use the techniques i know

If you are talking about the application I think you are, I have it too. It really sucks and stole my money...in my opinion. They have an anime creator now so you can make drawings of manga and they move just like anime. I don't believe it uses the ugly vectors like in Scary Girl--another animation making software on 3ds--so it looks pretty cool. It seems however that it only uses chibis. I'm not sure if that's correct or not. I've been meaning to try it, but I'm afraid to waste money again like I did on the movie maker. The difference is that this is a bigger risk because the movie maker I think I got for 1.99, while the anime maker is 19.99 or 14.99.

Sorry, i was talking about flipnote studio. You are probably better off trying to make it yourself rather than using a program with presets so you can make it your own. Ill look at the anime maker, but if the first one wasn’t good there is a good chance its no good either.

It wasn't a first one. It is a different maker all together. The one I bought was for live movies, not anime. But anyway, I had started drawing them by hand, but I have trouble finding a free program that will put the frames together.
