Support Needed URGENT!!!! need to put parental protection on EShop

i was look at eshop just now, and in one of the lists i found the NES game Galaga, THAT"S A DISASTER!!!!!!! if my parents find out that such thing exist, my father i'll sure take my 3ds away from my!!!! so he can play Galaga all day!!!!!!! if the eshop is locked, he won't concern much, but is he finds about that game, i'll be doing a giveaway to him:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting: HEEEEEEEEEELP????????
 
You can put Parental Controls on the use of credit cards/adding money to the eShop, but there's no way you can stop the game from appearing in the eShop so it won't do you much good. You might as well put parental controls on the entire 3DS restricting its use but I don't think that's doable for you if your father plays your 3DS regularly and it'd be cumbersome anyway.

My advice: Hide the 3DS :sneaky:

You know, he might be able to find a ROM for it online so he could play it on the computer. And that way he wouldn't have to take your DS.

When Parental Controls are enabled, some System Settings, such as Internet Settings, Outer Cameras, System Transfer, and System Update cannot be accessed. You will need to enter the PIN to access these features.

Information:
The system's Parental Controls can restrict the following features or settings:

  • Software Rating - Restrict the use of Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi software based on ESRB ratings. *These restrictions do not apply to Nintendo DS Games.*
  • Internet Browser - Restrict the use of the Internet browser.
  • Nintendo 3DS Shopping Services - Restrict the use of credit cards, Nintendo Prepaid Cards, and online content purchasing in the Nintendo eShop.
  • Display of 3D Images - Make all images display in 2D only. The restriction of the display of 3D images is recommended for users 6 years or younger.
    • Nintendo 2DS is not capable of showing images in 3D, so this option is not found on the Nintendo 2DS.
  • Miiverse - Restrict the viewing and posting of content on Miiverse.
    • This option was made available, along with Miiverse, with a system update on Dec. 9th, 2013.
  • Sharing Images/Audio/Video/Long Text Data - Restrict the wireless transmission of photos, sounds, animations, and long text data.
  • Online Interaction - Restrict the exchange of data between users who are not friends and the ability to participate in online play via the Internet. This restriction does not work with Nintendo DS software.
  • StreetPass - Restrict communication with other users of StreetPass. This restriction does not work with Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi software.
  • Friend Registration - Restrict the registration of friends.
  • DS Download Play - Restrict the use of DS Download Play.
  • Viewing Distributed Videos - Restrict Nintendo Video application content with an age rating of 13 and over.

found that wyll001 that is what the 3ds does when you put parental controls on it

i am sorry this happening to you. i am kind of worried that this won't go well with your parents and if you have any problems with your parents you talk to me okay i will help you get through this

I think he can pretty much download it and play on the computer. So your 3DS is safe!
Great to hear that your parents play games. Some parents think games are stupid (well, not mine at least).

Hey, why cant you let your father play on your 3ds sometimes? He seriously wont play it "all day!" ha ha but if you want your father to play don't tell him that there is anything like this on the 3ds. Simple!
