So, we all know about VALVe, right? They made Half Life 1 and 2; Team Fortress Classic and 2; Counter Strike; etc.

After seeing their success with CS and almost every other game they made, they decided to make a launcher of their games and 3rd party ones, something like GameSpy and xgame or whatever it was called. It was a huge success, again. They made so many franchises and made a sequel to all of them, adding 2 to the end. But now they ran out of games to add 2 to. It's a matter of time they add 2 to their launcher, Steam.

They already made a huge update to the Steam Beta client look and added a music library. If you have seen it, please post your opinions about the Steam look and what game would you like to see get a sequel.

Future multimedia player (no, I won't do the bad and famous joke about the X1)?
In any case, it won't change really a thing for most of the player, unless they can swap the game's music with their music without having to pop up VLC/WMP and fiddle with the sound settings.

Knowing that Steam is running on the SDL (a OpenGL wrapper which includes audio support), they'll probably add OGG/WAV/MP3 support, though I have a doubt for the last one.

And for my part: no, I haven't seen it, I don't use Steam. I already have most of the games I want, so, I won't bother with it (also due to my bad experience with TF2 wanting to update, though it was already the latest version).
