Players take on the role of Evelia Lyric in Vambrace: Cold Soul and must embark on several expeditions that challenge your strengths as a leader. Don't worry, you're not going in alone. You must assemble a team from five races and 10 unique classes. Each member has their own unique strengths and abilities. There are also sub-quests where you can unlock up to 26 new character skins.

You can craft items and armor from the materials you gather and unlock new skills / enhanced stats. You're also expected to make critical decisions because one wrong turn can be the end for your party.

If you're wondering what improvements have been made since its PC debut:
  • Rebalanced enemy encounters, chapter flow, and boss encounters.
  • Additional character skill upgrades with items.
  • Additional character skills options in combat.
  • More monster types to deepen the game's combat strategy.
  • Reworked UI that displays hireling stats and skills.
  • New items and relics.
  • 3 grades of Bullion Chips which can be sold for gold.
  • A fast-forward option during combat and trap encounters.
  • The addition of Shelters between Neighborhoods for reliable spots to heal your team.
  • The ability to equip and unequip items on the field.
  • Adjustable difficulty levels.
  • A basic New Game + option.
  • Several bug fixes and text updates.
The game will be available on the Nintendo Switch console on August 29th, 2019 for $24.99 US.

What do you think?

It seems an interesting take on Darkest Dungeon's formula, I also like setting and the variety of races and classes.
On Steam it seems to have an average score, but since they added a few more things on the Switch version it might be worth a try.

I heard about this via Darkest Dungeon (a game I seriously badly need to play lol), but I heard a ton of very mixed opinions about it. Gameplay, mechanics, balance are just to list a couple of major issues with the game. I heard that just finishing the first objective can take hours (iirc, someone said they had been playing for 7h and wasn't even close to finishing that first bit).

I see there's a list of changed things from the PC version but 1) why not update the PC version with all that??? 2) "A basic New Game + option" just worries me tbh.

The devs also made The Coma series which is an interesting horror series. And looking at this game, I just noticed there's now a Coma 2 which is neat. That game also suffered from balancing and gameplay issues, however, though I can't say much about the second one.

Idk, I think I might just stick with trying to get darkest dungeon and wait for opinions to come out about this one.

EDIT: I'll note that it's a damn pretty art style though

Did they mention if they were bored or getting drained during the 7 hours they were playing for the objective?

The dificulty is so absurd, that I am 7 hours into the game, and I didn't even get close to completing the FIRST OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME. And that is after a LOT of supplies runs, and some relic craft crafting (yes, relics are the only piece of equipment you can upgrade on your character, other than, MAYBE, the weapon (but I'm not even close to getting past the prelude, so, who knows?)).
