It'd be kinda sad if he didn't wake up though. Sora's supposed to save him, Aqua and Terra, so it'd be lame if he didn't wake up.
On that note, isn't he trapped in that room? What if he woke up before Sora managed to unlock it? Poor guy would be running around in circles ._.
