Videogame series you miss the most?

So there are obviously alot of game series that one way or another just stopped, so of all the videogame series you've played in your time, which halted series do you miss the most?

For me it's:
  • Crash Bandicoot: This game was my childhood, unfortunately we witnessed as it died a slow, painful death. After leaving it's roots, it became a generic platformer in the skin of Crash and friends. So, this is number 1 on my list.
  • Spyro: You can't mention Crash without Spyro; and although this character is still alive in the Skylanders series, he's kind of faded away. It used to be Spyro the Dragon, but now he's just another Skylander. Nothing really compares to the soft atmosphere of the original Spyro games and the awesome storyline of The Legend series. (I can't be the only one who was disappointed that the planned movie never came to fruition.)
  • Soul Calibur: Although I'm not exactly sure whether this game was "halted" or if they just ended the series, it was one of the more fun fighting games I've played. And as far as this one goes, Soul Calibur 5 was the biggest let-down for me. The gameplay was fun, but.... the story? Damn bruh. I hope they get their stuff together and make a new proper game for this.
So, those are my top 3, I'm pretty sure there are alot of other games I miss that I can't exactly remember right now, other honorable mentions are Gex, Dino Crisis (Dinosaurs! SERIOUSLY!), Megaman Legends (And Misadventures of Tronne Bonne), Prince of Persia and Obscure (Which wasn't that great, I just liked it)

What I miss the most are the Dot Hack games, the shaped the entire Action/RPG genre in just the first 2 years of the series and even started the whole concept in the animes where you are stuck in the game! If there's ever a new one or a remake, I'll run straight to the store and buy it! Or perhaps they will sometime (soon I hope) make another MMO version of the series.

I miss Dark Cloud that game was super fun and I loved the music in it, too bad my PlayStation 2 doesn't work like it used too.

Joy Mech Fight - You really have to play the game to experience it. It's in it's own caliber of quality.

Spyro - He's just not the same anymore. You could argue Activision's Skylander's replaced the need for Spyro at all but seriously he just deserves his own game to represent his character and not just be a pig-nosed dragon that has no personality. Spyro had a great personality and I don't care if he gets a new voice as long as he sounds similar and still gets hyped up. It's history to learn from and now Spyro is a currently dead Video Game abortion character.

Mega Man - granted he's not necessarily dead inn the form of kickstarters but still the kickstarters kick Capcom's rear in the fact that they'll have to work a lot harder because of the competition that's out there and Capcom might not find a good investment in Mega Man (or at least the Legends side at the most) but man it's a shame I think they ended their best story driven series and I think part of the problem is Mega Man NES piracy which is easily obvious (perhaps because of some people's financial conditions which is unacceptable) but I'm talking about certain Let's Plays on Youtube that I've seen before and I shall never support them again by avoiding videos they plan to make. Again I think a part of the problem is people don't want to pay to play for the same game they currently own because there is nothing different between the VC and the NES games as I know of but for those who never owned the game you have no excuse anymore.

Wow I remember Spyro ;-; It was a pretty awesome series which I loved playing, specifically Spyro: Shadow Legacy for the DS. I hope that this series gets revived someday hopefully >.<

I really liked the Jak & Daxter series, it's a shame it didn't really last long, but the games that were made were pretty epic. A Mix of adventure, action and drama, and those OP guns made it that much more enjoyable. Some of the challenges and puzzles were difficult to overcome. Daxter is just so funny and adorable. <3

I actually miss Klonoa, That was actually one of my favorite PS1 and PS2 games as a kid... It's sad Namco really doesn't do much for the character at all except reference him or port his games.

Megaman, yes.
One reason I bought Nintendo 3DS was to play Megaman Legends 3, yet things turned out differently...

Tomba. Yes, Tomba. That silent protagonist fighting evil swine in 2/2.5D adventure, it's a great game in the respective era. No Tomba 3 anymore since the developer was bankrupt.
