Virtual Console's possible fate on Switch?

So Reggie did say that Nintendo Switch Online will be the successor of Virtual Console, given that we already have some kind of that in NES Online app on the Switch. However, it seems that someone datamined on Nintendo's Switch eShop catalog and discovered that the entry of VC has been recently added, along with the entry of NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy, GBC, GBA and even DS.

Do you think Virtual Console is beckoning on Switch soon, or are the added entries just a placeholder? Discuss away!

Considering reggie said that, maybe these games will come with switch online? Or more likely they will come in nintendo switch online for a super cheap price of a 1$ or two.
If ds games get online again that would be amazing.
 
Considering these are just standard JSON files that the service uses for all requests is the most likely reason... And the fact Nintendo stated not even that long ago that they have no plans at all to put VC onto the switch...

I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I just looked at the JSON file myself and it's the same files that are on the 3DS so.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Eh, I really wish we'd get VC on Switch, but.... It's dead, Jim.
 
i think its more possible we will see gba, snes , and other consoles games in the switch online suscription,

and i prefer it that way,

GBA is probably going to come. It would be pretty cool playing Pokemon Red on it.

Red is a gameboy game. Firered is a Gameboy advance game. Gold is a Game Boy Color game. Pokemon games for every type of gameboy.
