hay i just finished death note and i what to know what you guys think about of the episodes after L dies

Honestly, after L died the series took a huge drop in quality in my opinion, what kept me watching Death Note were the mind games between L and Light, and Near and Mello I felt were introduced too late into the series and couldn't really replace L as a whole, combine that with its cookie cutter "good triumphs over evil" ending and I was left rather disappointed.

Eh after L died it got boring. I was hoping light would kill off near or something at the end and win or something but as expected he died.

I have to agree that after that episode, I actually found myself not watching the rest of it for a few days. It suffers from a large drop in the tension that we've come to know and love, and it would have been better to cut the show off there.

That being said however, I felt that if you pushed through the next few episodes, things start to stabilize in the show again. It's not quite the same afterwards but it gets better.

I'd agree. After L dies the show does drop in quality, but I did enjoy episodes after with Near, Mello, and Light. I think they could have been either introduced earlier as another poster said or not introduced at all. It could have ended with either both L and Light dying, or Light winning in the end. And then if they created another series maybe Light died before the series introduction, and someone else took over in his stead. And that's where you get introduced to Near and Mello.
