Did anyone ever find a warp flute in SMB3 on their first play through? Obviously, I missed the "hold down on the white block" one, but I DID happen to find the one in the castle, simply because I was experimenting with the racoon suit's flying ability. :p
 
I sort of had a guidebook for SMB3 Advance so... yes and it was fun. I don't even think I got all three to try the 9th level yet but one is when facing the Fire Bros., one is in a Boom Boom Castle in the first World I think and there is also a way to get a Treasure Airship to fly everywhere but I forgot how. Its neat all the ideas that were put into this besides the Warp Pipes and vegetables.
 
I think I might have found the third one on my own, but who can remember nearly 25 years ago? The NP guide book helped me with the other two. Classic memories hearing the Zelda recorder tune in a Mario game!
 
I never managed to find the flute on my own when playing Super Mario Bros. Advanced. In fact, I didn't know that you can crouch in a specific spot and after a couple of seconds, you will fall down and appear in the background. I didn't know there were more, since I thought it was just a One time use.
