I'm rockist as hell, so... I didn't like it all too much
Metal is a genre of rock. I hate it when people say it's a different genre. Punk and metal are forms of rock. I think it's pretty obvious. I mean, most heavy metal songs you can't tell if they're heavy metal or hard rock.Just rockist? I though you like Metal too.
While they are sub genres of Rock, they are still completely different genres within music and people may like one without liking the other. It's also not that hard to differentiate genres. You just have to know what to listen for.Metal is a genre of rock. I hate it when people say it's a different genre. Punk and metal are forms of rock. I think it's pretty obvious. I think a lot of it has to do with the riffs/beats/etc used. I can usually determine what type of rock something is based on the guitar part. I try to avoid judging genre by vocals because you can't really classify vocals because voices are unique.Good. I don't like sludge metal. I hate sludge metal and doom metal.
I suppose that if you look up the genre on Wikipedia but really, the first time I listened to Motorhead's Killed by Death I thought it was a hard rock song. It was kinda surprising when I learned it was heavy metal. Heavy metal is Black Sabbath-sounding to me. It didn't fool me any less that Bon Scott of AC/DC and Motorhead's vocalist sound so similar.
