I don't really think the roster for Smash is that boring . There were some new characters and the game is still semi-new - ish . I still like Villager and Wii Fit Trainer and since Sakurai isn't thrilled of putting DLC things might have to wait . :/ I would really like new characters in those games though

I agree with @Jacknoir12 , the Super Smash Bros. roster is nowhere near boring. If you think it's boring, then why don't you go ahead and try to perfect the moves of every single character? Surely you could have some fun with that :S
Even though a few clones like Lucina and Dr. Mario were added to SSB4, I'm happy with the roster so far.

It gets boring if you only main one character all the time and do nothing to try out the other characters to try them out . Yeah for example , I used to always play Link . I never really liked Villager because I didn't know his moves . But then I got bored and decided to try him and I was really amazed at it and now Villager is one of my favorites now
