Once when I was browsing the internet on my NOOK HD, and then the battery started to run low. After a few minutes of browsing and not plugging in the tablet, the battery drained from 15% to 5%. After a few more minutes, my battery somehow charged to 15% without being plugged in. The glitch ends here when after a few more minutes my tablet drains to 4% and then to critically low. It was a strange occurance, but it was nice because I got more use time out of that ol' battery before it needed to be plugged in ASAP. My battery life on that thing is so short now because of how much I use it, but that was a weird, yet useful glitch. Thank you Barnes and Noble for that useful glitch. The sad thing is it hasent happened since then. 
A real bummer because of how much it can come in handy at my mom's meetings or out and about on car trips and whatnot.
