What comes after Motion Controls?

I recall Iwata once saying something like 'if Microsoft and Sony introduce motion controls, we will use something else. We are always trying to do something new and different."

I'd like to know what that is, what other possible venues can they use?

maybe some virtual helmet thing, so it creates some sort of simulation, as if you're in the game itself.

It'll be something none of us can really say - they'll probably come up with something wacky and genius, and it'll be easy to use. So I don't think some big virtual helmet thing would be Nintendo's next big thing but then again who knows...

I've always wondered this myself, Nintendo has spent two generations on motion controls and I find it hard to see them walk away from it. Though not being a fan of motion controllers I'll fully support dropping it.
