What comes after Motion Controls?

I recall Iwata once saying something like 'if Microsoft and Sony introduce motion controls, we will use something else. We are always trying to do something new and different."

I'd like to know what that is, what other possible venues can they use?

I've always wondered this and the Wii U seems to be a step away from the motion controls by bundling a tablet with their device. I guess the next current step is try again for the virtual reality thing.

I think they might go down the virtual gaming route too. What other technology could possibly be out there? =D
