What did surprise you the most before and after the release of Super Smash Bros.4?

What was the the most surprising thing you've seen when you first heard of Smash 4? Was it the characters,the new amiibo feature or the fact that there was going to be a version for both the Wii U and the 3ds?
 
Before the release: that it was getting a handheld release lol after the release: that it actually got the handheld release.
 
I was surprised about the fact that it was getting a handheld release at the start. I was very excited, because I use my 3ds very often. After release, I was surprised and very saddened by the fact that Lucas and Ice Climbers, two of my favorites, were cut. I actually wanted a new Earthbound character, maybe Claus or Jeff, but instead I got one removed.

  • Why didn't I get it instead of The Legend of Zelda : A Link Between Worlds ._.
There is probably more to it when it comes to before the game's release and I mean like ..... SOOO much

After, That the wii u version has so much more stuff than the 3ds version and that mewtwo is coming and that lucas is coming and that more mii costumes are coming. also, I am surprised that there is no miiverse stage yet.

Before the release, it surprised me that they were going to release a handheld Smash, and with great graphics. After the release, I was surprised with such a big roster and probably still growing, with the DLC, which also surprised me.
 
Before the release: Like everyone the fact that they were releasing a handheld version.

Afterwards: That they actually named them Super Smash Bros. for WiiU/3DS
(No creative name? Really? >.>)

Before release: Duck Hunt Duo in Smash leak along with Dr. Mario and Dark Pit. No Ice Climbers either so I'm a little disappointed.

After release: Mewtwo and Lucas. Of course if read any of my past posts in "will Mewtwo ever be in Smash 4?" threads I would tell you he's coming or hasn't been unlocked yet because the Wii U version wasn't out. Lucas was more of a surprise because of custom moves and Ness having customs like Lucas's specials.

Before the release I was surprised about Duck hunt and Megaman, I was also surprised that is was going to be released on the 3DS.
After release personally I was surprised with the massive roster that is still expanding, I'm also surprised about the Mewtwo and Lucus DLC

I never knew it was going to be the first version on a handheld. I was so hyped but I never pictured how the controls would be like on my 3ds. Right now It is a finesse and I got very accustomed to the controls and I am happy with the configuration.

Ive knew the day was coming soon but not this early! I was all dancing than the super smash bros 4 wiiu trailer I was like OMG! That was gorgeous! And I was most suprised with the 3ds version

Before release:The leak that turned out to be true regarding characters like Duck Hunt Duo,Shulk and Bowser Jr. in the character roster before official announcement.
After release:Ryu arrives as a DLC newcomer,making it the fourth 3rd party character in the game.

The most surprising for me, is getting the game on 3DS and MEGAMAN! i screamed like crazy when i saw megaman, then mewtwo came in and i got more excited and now roy and ryu got me lose my jaws, too bad they din't add story mode, at least add the adventure mode from melee and it a bit different.
