What do you think about Pokemon X/Y So far?

Both games are now available (Pokemon X and Pokemon Y). My download just finished a couple of minutes ago and I'm waiting to play the game with @EliteBeatDiva and @Memento Mori.

In this thread you can post up what you think about the Pokemon X and Pokemon Y gameplay so far.

The game is really fun, It's similar to previous Pokemon games in terms of gameplay and story but so many things have been improved upon. Specially, the graphics and the battle scenes are amazing. There are so many new features giving the game a fresh new perspective. PSS is amazing, you can challenge anyone to a battle at anytime.

What do you guys think about the new starters? I dont like how they were designed Especially fennekin, I was hoping for something better.

I think they ran out of ideas for new shapes and designs for starters! Both Chespin and Froakie evolve into a better form. Fennekin sure is disappointing.

Yeah, it's one of my favorites for this gen otherwise I'm more of a Firey guy but I guess Charmander and Torchic have satisfied that firey need of mine. xD

Haven't bought the game yet, I was $10 short on the eshop, still saving money haha

Started playing Pokemon Y earlier today. It's a great game. So far it's similar to the good ol' Pokemon storyline. There are a lot of new stuff that I like (eg. 3D world), and I highly recommend it if you're a Pokemon fan,

I've only defeated the first gym so I can't comment on the mega evolutions yet (just got my mega stone).

The Player Search System is awesome. It's the bottom screen and you can connect to the Internet to see who is online playing the game, etc. You can also battle or trade with your online contacts with a press of a button,

It's a really great game so far I enjoy playing it , the new pokemon and the mega evolution are the ones that had made me interested in the pokemon game

I haven't got the game yet, but from what I'm hearing and have already spoiled for myself it seems to be a legit game. Even if it has some annoying mechanics (like Fairy type in some aspects) in there, it seems good

i dont like how theres not alot of post game stuff.
ingot spoiled with black and white.
so a lack of post game makes me sad

and speaking of the starters they were as good as previous gens. those fennikin was the most dissapointjng one

To be honest, I think they should have made it possible to catch every single pokemon ever created in all the generations. That would make the game awesome! But I guess it is kind of fun getting all the other games and collecting all the other Pokemon, but overall I think Pokemon X/Y is a great game and it really brings back my childhood hahaha

yeah they should have put all the pokes in one game. then we would have to struggle with legend catching. but i guess thats the point to struggle cause they are rare

I think it's really good. I've beaten the game a long time ago and I'm still having fun with it. Nowadays i'm playing less because of A Link Between Worlds .

Even if there isn't much post-game stuff apparently I think it isn't too bad because the Elite Four and Champion themes are epic and it isn't too bad to replay them over and over I'd assume

i prefer that the e4 teams changed on your rebattle with higher levels. like what happened in previous gens. the battle cheatuea is this games saving grace. hopefully when the third version comes out they overload it on post game content that would be really nice

Yeah, I think they were going back to how things were done in Hoenn where you had the battle facility to keep you occupied but E4 didn't change
