Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, better known to the internet as "PewDiePie" is a famous internet star on YouTube, the most subscribed YouTuber in the world in the world. He specializes in playing video games and "Vlogs" (Video Blogs). He was the first YouTuber I ever watched play video games. I watched his "let's plays" or game play walk-throughs of the first three FNAF (Five Nights At Freddy's) games. FNAF is a horror game in which you play as a night watchmen in a family pizzeria that is comparable to a demonic Chuckie Cheese.

I found watching Felix play made it less scary to look at. While I may never play the game for myself to make a comparison, I do know that I personally jump at my own shadow. But I hardly scream in FNAF when I watch someone else play, the same can be said for other games of the horror genre as well. If you don't want to take my word for it, you can try for yourself!

Just find someone to watch and watch them play! That said, some people who play games either don't know how to play and take a long time to complete the game, and that's if they do complete it. Others might take longer to complete the game purposefully, by partaking in silly antics that are not part of, or is in any way beneficial to the game play. I find myself frustrated whenever "Pewds" (short for PewDiePie) takes time out of his game play to yell at barrels. I'm not kidding, he seriously does this every time he plays a game and runs into barrels in-game. I don't believe I could watch him play a game that had a castle type setting, it would be un-barrel-able.

That said, PewDiePie is a great YouTuber with a large following and was the first official YouTuber I ever watched for the purpose of not just learning song lyrics or other educational purpose. He got me addicted to FNAF and video game horror in general which is now a part of my daily life to watch in my spare time. He has his drawbacks, like the barrel thing mentioned previously. But I cannot discredit him as the start of my YouTube obsession. All in all I would recommend him.

Open for discussion, please do not slam the Bro Army, and Bro Army please be be respectful as well. :)

I am going to be completely honest, and I promise you during this post, I am not bragging of any kind. Please don't think that. I simply want to add some information to this chat.

Alright, so, about a year and a half - two years ago, I was under a Youtube channel group. We had a hefty subscriber base, but obviously not even close to the amount PewDiePie has. However, we were partnered with Maker Studios, which, at the time, he was also partnered with. I'm not sure if he is anymore. But anyway! Maker Studios chose me to be a guest on a new podcast they were setting up called, uh... Like, RPM something. Because at the time, RPMNetwork was the name of the sub-division under Maker Studios. This being the one I was a part of.

Now, I agreed, and I was told there was going to be me, a few other semi-small channels which were a part of RPMNetwork (Which is Now MakerMAX or whatever), and PewDiePie. At first I was like 'Oh my god! It's PewDiePie! What are the odds?'
But as I joined the call which had my Maker Studos manager, PewDiePie, and some other Maker representative, in order to sort out the details, PewDiePie gave me a ridiculously bad impression. I'm not saying he's bad at making videos, I'm not saying he doesn't appreciate his fans. Because I am 100% sure he is thankful for each and every fan. But, well, he liked to be in control. Of course, he sort of was in control as he was the big 'mentor' on this episode of the Podcast. Thing is, he didn't give me or even my manager any chance to speak up. He expected us to just... Know how it was going to run, and such. I got really annoyed with him, really annoyed. But, I made it through the call and we had everything set.

Unfortunately RPMNetwork was switched over to MakerMAX or MakerGEN or whatever the heck it's called these days, and the podcast never went through as planned.

Now, that's my personal opinion on PewDiePie as a person. Like I said, his videos I find great. I love his editing, it makes me laugh my butt off. But, as a person who may or may not have just been over-stressed that day, I got a bad feeling from him.

tl;dr - PewDiePie is an awesome video maker, a decent comedian, but just an average person who likes a bit of power.

Felix seems like a genuinely nice guy from what I can tell, but his content just doesn't appeal to me personally.

That's how I've started to feel more and more nowadays. I hardly watch him anymore.

I haven't seen him a lot. I used to dislike him because after Nintendo started taking cuts out of YouTube videos of their games, he said that Nintendo games were at the bottom of the barrell for him now - that made it sound like he was just in it for the money and was bleeding video games so he could live a life of luxury and whatnot. @faustine changed my mind about him a bit, telling me he started from the ground up and interacts very well with his fans and such - so I guess I'm mostly indifferent now.

Being incredibly honest here, I put the guy in the same league as many sports stars, most musicians, any reality show, a certain few of politicians, and of course the Kardashians: the "People-I-just-do-not-care-about-when-I-hear-their-names" league.
This is in no offense to his career, as I'm sure he loves his job and takes a good deal of his time to get it right. I can respect him, for he is clearly successful at what he does, I just don't care about him or his videos.

This is more a "Me" problem; similarly, I never got the appeal of "Let's plays" or things like that. (I have looked up gameplay videos if I was about to buy something I wasn't sure about, but I mostly wing-it.) I'm not here to offend anyone, I'm just neither interested in him nor so easily convinced to be.

I can see that a lot of people like him but his content and channel don't have that much appeal to me. He posts so many videos that the quality of what he does seems really stretched out.
