What do you think of the Twitch Plays Pokemon?

This is a fun social experiment happening over on Twitch where the whole chat gets actively involved in controlling a Pokemon Red ROM. *Somehow* they got past the Rock Tunnel earlier today.

What do you think?
 
Haha, I saw that yesterday. It was really fun watching it xD It took them over 15 minutes just to walk through Cerulean City.

Almost every battle when they went through the Rock Tunnel, they ended up selecting the Helix Fossil in battle. It hasn't gotten any better and I think more and more are joining xD
 
Can't edit my previous post, but just wanted to update that at the moment they've got 45,824 watching the channel...it's that bad. They've only completed 3 gym badges right now last time they saved...

Well, I can't imagine what would happen if they played a longer or harder game instead...

I think it's time to compare the stats between Twitch and a regular player for the game:
Regular Player: Total Time: 72 hours approx.
Twitch: At this rate ? 2 Months, 16 Days, 3 Hours, 58 Minutes and 09 seconds :D

Didn't they threw the fossil away ? That's what I read on the IRC.

THEY THREW AWAY THE ALMIGHTY HELIX FOSSIL???? BLASPHEMY!! Yeah, it would be kinda useless especially with the really huge lag-time they've got going on there (seriously, 20-40 seconds....)

They beat the Elite Four in Crystal in about half the time it took in the first game! But now they have to go through Kanto. (They beat Misty again)

It's hilarious and a great experiment/invention they've got there. It's funny to watch but a pain to try and play as it seems to be.

It's kinda died down though... :c
It was fun while it lasted, but at least it's still lasting!
