Really? I just thought they chose the name because it sounds good. But your explanation seems more fitting.Wii U is supposed to be a console for everyone, from your family and friends playing games together as "WE" (Wii) Or for "YOU" (U) the gamer who wants to play by yourself. Because Wii U is supposed to focus on both the casual and the hardcore gamers. That's why Nintendo is trying to get a wide range of different games for everyone's tastes, from Wii Party U & Wii Fit U, to games like Assassin's Creed and Bayonetta

That sounds...weird. And very nintendo. Sucrose names are kind of their 'thing' isn't it? (looking at you N3DS)I heard in the really old Nintendo Direct way back it meant universe. And Miiverse, originally only supported by the Wii U is sort of like a "Mii Universe".
