What exactly does graphic design entail, in a job description?

I'm considering graphic design as a career path for me and want to know exactly what entails you to do, when you walk in and sit down what do you do first? What do you enjoy about it most? What does it require. Ect.

Not wanting in exact answer from someone with a job in graphic design ( though your input would be very helpful) any one that has experience with graphic design can answer. Also thanks
 
Which specialization are you talking about? It could be creation of logos, products (t-shirt, mugs and all) or work on websites, pamphlets and other stuff like that.

You can also branch out to work in Video Games as a UI artist too
 
I'm talking about the ones that create sprites or animations for games, for example in Pokemon when you throw in a new Pokemon an animation plays of the trainer throwing the pokeball. That's what I want to create, for a rough example
