What if Luigi took Mario's place? *//0//*

What do you think would happen if Luigi took Mario's place? I think Nintendo wouldn't be as big as it is now. Comment what you think would happen. ^//_//^
 
I doubt that Luigi would ever take the place of mario, as Mario is considered the mascot of the entire gaming industry. And besides, why would he take his place? Mario is known by almost everyone in the world who has played some video games. However, if Luigi did take Mario's place, then it won't really affect Nintendo. Sure, people won't recognize Nintendo by him, but it won't affect the cmpany, as the main thing that matters is the consoles/systems and games they make.
 
That can depend actually depending on when Luigi could have replaced Mario. If it was from the start, then there wouldn't be much difference other than a switch of character roles. If he replaced Mario NOW... it's unpredictable Nintendo may lose some popularity as Mario is the official mascot of Nintendo but then again, Luigi does have an enormous fan base...
 
Luigi starting as the Nintendo mascot would have made no difference as technically Mario didn't exist until they thought of naming "jump man" and making a game for him. Luigi is kind of an underdog character now, so Nintendo popularity could surge either way if they just randomly changed him to the official mascot
 
It is very unlikely that would happen. Mario is Nintendo's main mascot. Luigi is meant to be the sidekick. A few of his own games, sure, but replacing the main protagonist altogether? That's a risky jump on Nintendo's part if it were to happen. Besides, nobody can be a hero with an unfortunate "L" on their forehead. ( I didn't mean that. Luigi is cool :) )
 
I think Luigi already took Mario´s place in some games such as luigi's mansion and new super luigi u. I think Nintendo promoted the year of Luigi and I think it was really cool too. I think it would be just as good as it is right now, no big change on that.
 
Probably would never happen in the mainstream games, but if he did, he'd finally get the recognition he so rightfully deserves. xD

I personally think it would never happen though, It's ok to dream though, right? :D

I don't think there would be any drastic changes so to speak. Both brothers have similar personalities in a way. xD
 
Unlikely to happen, but would be cool because Luigi is the superior brother in my opinion
 
Luigi taking Mario's place wouldn't make all that difference but would make the game a little funnier and sillier.Though I don't think this would happen since I think luigi is satisfied with what he has.
