What if Smash Bros. had a Fire Emblem-styled spinoff?

WEVE GOT TROUBLE
Towns Folk
Its safe to say that tons of people, like myself, love the Smash Bros franchise, and the same could be said for the Fire Emblem franchise, too. So, using my crazy ideas, came up with how Smash Bros would be if it played as a Fire Emblem game.

The characters will, of course, be the various Nintendo all-stars. Those characters will be divided into different classes, such as the Plumber class for characters like Mario, Luigi, and Wario; the Hero class for characters like Link, Marth, and Shulk; the Princess class for characters like Peach and Zelda; and various others.

The weapon triangle for this game will use 3 different types of weapons, Swords, Hammers, and Staffs. Swords beat hammers, hammers beat staffs, and staffs beat swords. There would also be bow and arrows as weapons, as well as a new Blaster weapon class to accommodate for characters like Fox and Samus. The tomes would be replaced by a general "Special" weapon type. This would include weapons like Mario's fireball, Kirby's star, and any other iconic weapon that wouldn't fit into any other category.

Like other Fire Emblem games, the game would have the Pair Up feature and Support conversations. But of course, there wont be any marriages in this game. The characters can only reach up to A-Support. However, you can still enjoy the hilarity that the conversations almost always bring.

The story would be similar to the Subspace Emissary. Enemies have invaded the various Nintendo worlds, and its up to the Nintendo all-stars to stop them throughout various chapters. Each chapter's objective will either be to rout the enemy, or defeat the commander. The various enemies will include characters such as Koopa Troopas, Moblins, Zebastians, Waddle Dees, Primids, and a bunch more. The commanders will include characters like Dark Samus, Medusa, Metal Face, and more.

So, how are my ideas? Leave your opinions below!

Well..it could happen, but not in the way you have proposed.

It's like this for me: Fire Emblem x Mario seems a lot more likely than an entire Nintendo crossover (because that's what Smash Brothers is for by itself). I believe they want to do something like this, given as how Puzzles and Dragons is getting a Mario crossover, and it, too, is a very popular series over in Japan. So, to present something like this, they are testing the waters with SMT x Fire Emblem, to see if a crossover would really work.

I like your idea, but I honestly won't be holding my breath. Nintendo is not a huge fan of crossovers. They only have a few series that do this, and they go large (Mario Kart/Smash Brothers..am I missing any that have a LARGE variety of crossovers?).

First of all, the file size would be well over 5 gigs if you are talking about every single nintendo universe the fighters come from. Second, it would be big for the coders to lay out the skillsets the fighters have scibce they have a bunch of moves that could be obselete if those moves do not need a weapon (i.e. Little Mac, Bowser, and Donkey Kong). Third, the weapons. There would be a abundant source of weapons, weapon types, and minerals they are made of, what level they are made of, and if you have a crafting system to go along with it, more money to earn, and more money that peasant by the corner of the street that runs the rickety old shop will get to pay his rent. Lastly, the plot. You are going to need to tap into the minds of the great works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Hajime Isayama, and Andrew Hussie if you want awards and internet fame and a spot on Time and Wired.

Also, this idea rests in the hands of fans who know how how to code, because graphic design, mathematical equations, and appeal to buy would mean 2 years of work to pull it off!
The idea sounds very cool though!

THat's an interesting idea, but I'm pretty sure they've done it before with POkemon and some other franchise that was similar to Fire Emblem. It's pretty close to what you described, because Pokemon types and stuff. It was a pretty fun game c:

Wow, that's a pretty nice idea. What I thought you were talking about after looking at the thread title was a game in which only Fire Emblem characters fight agaisnt each other, in Smash bros. style xD
Although the idea seems interesting, it's mainly based around a Rock-Paper-Scissors concept. I'd like to see a game like that.
Subspace Emissiary would be pretty fun with those weapons and items as well.

Oh wow! I had the same idea a few months ago! In SSBB, I thought that the story mode was like a Super Mario Bros. game. So I thought, "maybe SSB should make a Fire Emblem styled story mode for the next game." But that would be incredibly awesome!

That would be really cool......

Maybe the Hero team could have commanders that summon hero troops, and dark commanders summon evil troops, if either is taken down no more summoning.

I thought of two levels.......

First Idea

Chapter Name: Dream Land

Objective: Defeat Galaxia Knight
Objective when you beat Commander: Nightmare is the BOSS here, take him down before he uses the Nightmare Orb to create a Black Hole!
Warriors: Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, Waddle Dee troops ( Commander Bandanna Waddle De )
Enemies: Plasma Wisp, Broom Hatter, and Waddle Doo.
Commander: Galaxia Knight
BOSS: Nightmare

Second idea

Chapter Name: Wrath of the Reset Bomb
Objective: Defeat commanders Dark Pit and Phosphora.
Objective when commanders defeated: The Master mind Viridi has appeared! Stop her before her Reset Bomb takes flight!
Warriors: Pit, Centurion troops ( Commander Palutena )
Enemies: Random Forces of Nature
Commander: Dark Pit, Phosphora
BOSS: Viridi

Character weapons

Kirby ( Star Rod, Special )

Meta Knight: ( Galaxia, Sword )

King Dedede ( King's Hammer, Hammer )

Waddle De ( Spear, Staff )

Bandanna Waddle De ( Ribbon Spear, Staff )

Pit ( Palutena's Bow, Bow )

Centurion ( Blade, Sword )

Palutena ( Staff, Staff )

I see something more like Project X Zone or Pokémon Conquest. Both are Strategy-RPG like Fire Emblem, but the battle system is different. I don't see a "Smash RPG" with Fire Emblem's battle system, it couldn't have that specific triangle system, 'cause Mario can punch and jump too.
Maybe a RPG MODE in the next Smash Brothers, with Strategy-RPG movement system, but battles still Smash-style. Would be fun, right!? ;)

Hmmm.....
That'd certainley be intresting, though Smash Tour is probably the closest thing you'll ever get to that

I guess that would be a revelant and quite a good idea to many people . I would really love the idea and that would be really a good game I guess . Only problem is that not many people may approve of it and I really wouldn't think that a Smash RPG would sound right in my opinions but just maybe it will be a good idea but I'm not sure and there are a few games like Project X which is quite similar
