i think they should have exclusive games for it what about you

Wow, you must be the first person who actually wants exclusive games for the New 3DS family :p

I think they should mostly upgrade the 2DS hardware in similar ways to how the 3DS hardware was improved with the N3DS. However, I think they should make it have a clamshell design like the actual 3DSes to protect the screens and buttons. I'm sure they made the original 2DS a bread slice ( :p ) to prevent confusion between it and the 3DS but they shouldn't sacrifice hardware durability for sales estimates. Maybe they could write the 2DS logo on the back of the console if they don't want buyers to be confused which is which. And then the same C-stick, better CPU and NFC functionality as on the N3DS.

I think they'll add the c-stick, ZR and ZL triggers, better hardware, bigger screens and NFC funcions for Amiibo compatibility No much to add, as change the slotcard position like the 3ds models, change the stick position, and other minor changes
related to aesthetics :) And the price in euros (Spain) about 145€ approximately 168USD

maybe would be foldable (really, it's a mess trying to that brick-sized console in my pocket)

a better name lol

New 2ds..., I don't know if they will make it. I'm pretty sure Nintendo is going to release it on 2015 or next year

The C-stick, the z-buttons and all that changed with the "new" versions :D

But I really doubt they'll make a New 2DS... just my opinion.

I doubt really they will make a new 2ds if they did though they should put the controls on the bottom screen and have it a little bigger and better to use and should name it the "Extreme Ds".Add some extra system memory and you know anything to fit the name extreme.

Change the design completely. I don't like how it's like a gameboy of sorts. I know many people probably weren't fond of the initial design of the 2DS. It wasn't really pocket friendly either. Add some hinges and make it like a proper handheld! :D

But.. but.. 2DS was designed for durability -- random drop from the hands of the kid, (or to avoid overflexing the hinge of the original DS.) Yes, it was designed to be played by your kids, and kids don't really mind the aesthetics and all. They just want to play the game and throw the handheld lol.

But yeah, a new 2ds should be pocket friendly, well at least on your cargo pants.

I think they should make two designs.

Make a GBA-style 2DS, and make a clamshell-style 2DS.

Designing decision simplified, everyone is pleased.

Yeah, that's really a great idea. I really don't use the 3D function of the 3DS. And I might even consider buying a clamshell-style 2ds.

I actually don't like the design when they came out. Though, when I get a hand on them at the game shop, I think they aren't too bad.
The problem is the soft touchscreen will be easily damaged. I don't like the idea of sliding design but don't know other better way to protect the screen.

Drop that brick design. So far, most of the people I've talked to (who have 2DS systems) said it wasn't as resistant as an original 3DS/DS, and more, the "brick" design was a bad idea to start with, and it would be even worse to apply the N3DS's buttons and C-Stick on this thing. It wouldn't be an handheld anymore.

So, if they were to make a N2DS, they should take inspiration from the regular 3DS/N3DS, put the N2DS on the console's back to mention it's a 2DS, and keep the clam shell design.

Heres an idea! Just burn all documents concerning the 2DS and move on Nintendo!

I know this is a "what if" but I highly doubt they'll make one. Anyone desperate enough to play a New 3DS exclusive game can probably afford to get a New 3DS.

Though, if they did make one, I guess it would look something like Jwiz's mock up.
