hello everyone this survey is to see what most people think is the hardest level is in super Mario world only (NES version) since I'm a noob the hardest level for me is world 1 level 3 . please comment .

For me, it's got to be Tubular -- the second level in the special world. It's a nightmare, and I'll wager it was hidden in that special area for the sake of humanity. Having only little pipes and blocks to land on, you're pretty much airborne the entire level. This guy makes it look easy, but trust me -- even with that cape for support, it's difficult to maneuver (if you're as impatient as I am, it's shown at approximately 0.49 seconds, so you can skip to that point).

For me, it's either the boo houses or the boss fight with bowser. Those boo houses had a way of messing with my 6 year old mind, and it would take me forever to finish some of them. And as far as the last boss fight, it took me so long solely because I didn't know you had to throw his minions at him up in the air. So I'd spend the entire boss fight just running in the ground, hoping that if I killed enough of his minions, eventually something would happen. It never did, and I spend literally like 4 years trying to figure out what to do. #NoLife.....

I got to agree with you on that... mostly. Mine would have to be tubular in the special world. You're airborne pretty much the entire level and there are obstacles, barnacles, bullet bills and other contraptions that you have to avoid... all with the extremely low amount of mobility offered by the balloon powerup thingymajig. Also... do you watch SMG4's videos? Because I recognise that avatar pic as the front image of the video "Super Mario Attorney". Cos I watch his videos and that was one of his funniest videos in my opinion.

It's all coming back to me... the Tubular Trauma... o_O

Tubular as well, a nice welcoming area that led directly to hell.

I found extremely difficult the boos house, I never knew which door to get in order to get out of them. They were actually a pain in the neck. And when the big boos came, oh gosh, you didn't know where to hide or where to run.

Tubular is the hardest level in the game, you have to use Power Ballon (don't remember what is called actually) and float across the whole stage, while dodging those charging chucks that throws everything at you, football, rocks, etc, you name it, is the only level that gives me the anger and when ever i see them in any level i beat the heck out it. EVERY LAST ONE! (whoops! got carried away)

I think it's the final boss level with bowser because of all the stupid mechakoopas that he throws. It's just so hard to get around those things. Whoever designed this designed it to be very difficult, probably so you would keep playing the game until you beat it, as it was a relatively short game. But it had a very memorable boss fight with bowser, an excellent one. Definitely the hardest level in the game, though. Nothing quite as bad as that final boss fight with bowser. Ther really never is.

Tubular is the hardest level in the whole game. Since it is in the last world (Star World) it has the right to be hard. What makes it hard is that you need to use every Balloon Power Up you can find while trying to avoid enemies such as those plants that throw Fireballs at you. It is just satisfying to hear that glorious music after you clear a stage.... after about 50 or more tries.

World 8-3. Throughout most of the original Super Mario Bros., the Hammer Bros. jump back and forth between multiple levels of bricks. On this level, however, most of them stand on the ground. And since they can’t be jumped on, the only way to proceed is to time Mario’s run when the hammer-throwing Koopas randomly jump in the air. To make it worse, this has to be done over and over again before finally reaching the comfort of the ending flagpole.
