AC:NH What is the max amount of villagers you can have on an Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

There has to be a limit of how many villagers you can recruit to live on your Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I just want to know so I'll prepare their housing arrangements better, so what's the max amount if you know?
