Azumarill, its just such a good Pokemon in this gen. It became part Fairy and gained resistances to Bug, Fighting, Dark and an immunity to Dragon and gaining access to a very useful STAB move in the form of Play Rough. Even though Azumarill's Belly Drum and Choice Band sets are both very powerful, I really like using the Assault Vest set the most, the added bulk really helps with offensive teams.

Mega Charizard X, its arguably the best DD user currently because of its Fire/Dragon typing, which helps it resist priority moves like Ice Shard and Bullet Punch. But I find myself using the Tank Zard X set the most, crippling the opponent's Azumarill switch in with a Will O Wisp is so satisfying and having the extra bulk is really nice as well.

Exploud, its just such a fun Pokemon to use, especially on some sort of Sticky Web offensive team, Choice Specs Boomburst is a great STAB move with no drawbacks that goes through subs and can hit ghost types with Scrappy, what's not to love?

There can only be one Pokemon that is worthy of being my favorite, otherwise it would only make my favorite less special. Hopefully you can find that out from my recent SB posts and it has to be...
Shuckle. It can be defensive if you want it too be and offensive when you don't. With some minor problems that keep it from being the best in the game. It has 4 move syndrome as every bulky tank that is my favorite is, but it has so many unique moves that make using him worth it.
Why I like Shuckle:
  • Excellent movepool. You can really play around with this guy. It has weaknesses mainly based off of his moveset and nothing else as certain Pokemon can resist certain moves of his (for example having Shuckle with Rest means taking another crucial move for offense but needed against status, but it can still be walled by Skarmory if it chooses to have EQ). Contrary Shell Smash also works well with Power Split. Too well.
  • Excellent typing. With only three weaknesses that are 2x effective it can really cover any of his weaknesses really well if you give Shuckle the right moves.
  • Excellent stats. Sure base 505 is nothing but with it's low offense stats it can do a number to Megas using Power Split. It's defenses make up for its HP and if Shuckle wasn't slow he would be almost impossible to beat.
  • Somewhat rare major weaknesses. Perish Song was made to get rid of this guy, end of story.
  • Shuckle is only as good as the support you put around it. No Rest on Shuckle? Get safeguard support. Nothing to combat steel types? Kill it with fire. Low on HP? Baton pass leech seed, aqua ring, defense stats, substitute or wish support. With the right support and opponents, it can sweep really easy.
  • Many items work well with Shuckle, namely Leftys as it doesn't need Rest or Wish support that bad. Lum, Rocky Helmet, Chesto, Weakness Policy, or maybe even Smooth Rock if you use him right.
  • Shuckle is lovable.
P.S. I think it is just me but I am having serious trouble typing as my words come up seconds after I type them, most of the time with spaces or caps in the wrong place if I don't do it slowly. :rage: :rage: :rage:

Crawdaunt is a beast. A BEAST. Choice band + Adaptability + Aqua Jet + Craudaunts Already amazing attack stat?
It is a godsend. It doesn't require any setup for it to sweep with it's amazing power. And it's very good against walls such as Chansey or Blissey.

Bisharp used to be rather unnoticed in gen 5, but with the rise of the fairies, Bisharp is very relied on in the OU tier. Defiant means that your attack is boosted every time your opponent tries to lower a stat, and since it's already amazingly tough. OUCH. The only downside is that it's rather Frail.

Choice specs Noivern is amazing. I love Noivern, because of it's design. It can outspeed a lot of Pokemon, and it's only downside is it's special attack is mediocre. It doesn't hit hard enough. But you'll find that Choice Specs on it means that a Boomburst will most likely kill anything that doesn't resist it. Flamethrower to get rid of Pesky Ferrothorn and Scizor, and Dragon pulse and Air slash for Stab. It is truly amazing.

Kecleon, because it's a tanky physical Greninja. It has Protean with good priority physical moves, allowing it to serve as a good revenge killer(Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Fake Out) or fake out lead. And with Power-up Punch, it can boost while attacking. It gets Drain Punch too, but that move is unavailable for Protean Kecleon.

Thought this would be a fun topic to look at.

What's your favorite competitive Pokemon and move set/support? This can be anything from serious to your favorite competitive joke teams. Even if it's something hated, this is your opinion.

For me, for the Joke team, I love the Level 1 Aron sweep (I don't know what FEAR is, so this could be it and I just don't know it).

Aron @ Shell Bell
--Sturdy--
Endeavor

It needs a Tyranitar to Sand Stream to make a Sandstorm and when he's KO'd, Aron goes out, get hit, sturdy, then Endeavor them to 1 HP, and then heals max HP from it. Sandstorm buffets enemy and faints it.

Unless the opponent is Steel, Rock or Ground type, which ruins your entire strategy! What I use as a joke is actually a serious competitive one! I have the last Pokemon anyone would imagine to use Trick Room, Espeon! I use it to ruin strategies like shutting down the opponent's own Trick Room or, when it's almost about to faint, I will use it to boost my own team, since almost everything I use is incredibly slow. However, what I like the most competitively is Tyranitar!
Here's the set I use:
Adamant
58/252/0/0/200/0
Assault Vest
Sand Stream (280Sp. Def. x 1.5 [Sandstorm] x 1.5 [Assault Vest] = 630 , survives Focus Blast from Mega Mewtwo Y 100% of the time!)
-Iron Head
-Crunch
-Rock Slide
-Fire Punch (For Ferrothorn / Forretress / Serperior)

Well i guess a weavile with knock off and low kick can totally destroy your plan unless you have pokemon with bullet pucnh or mach punch to kill that pokemon or may be anything else

Still your strategy is pretty nice .may be i will give it a try

I deal with Weaviles with my Garchomp or M-Aggron. Also, I also use a Weavile. One FAR more devious than a Low Kick one! Mine can 1-Hit KO even Ho-oh!

Weavile can kill garchomp with ease but mega aggron will be big problem if the opposing player dont have fire or fighting pokemon and your Weavile can OKHO by your wevile if your opponent wevile manage to outspeed or your weavile dont don't have foucus sash

But sand veil is ban in ou so i guess this team is for uber

Sand Veil is NOT banned in OU, it's only banned in OU battle here on the pedia just because some people want to spam Stone Edge with Choiced Terrakions and Landoruses! Read the OU rules again!

Come man! It will be very annoying if each and every attack will miss

It ban on pedia because each gym leader have there different rules on pedia Rules are decided by gym leader and i guess it is right that sand veil is ban(i hate this ability i t make me cry when each and every move get miss)

I love it because it shows who actually know what he's doing! Spamming low accuracy moves doesn't make you good! You people need to understand that! I can't take it when someone just brings out a Scarfed Pokemon and spams Stone Edge or moves like that and then he acts like he's good or something just because he got lucky! I do that to test others. If you don't even have a single move that hits regardless of accuracy/evasion in your entire team, then that means your team is bad! Simple as that.

First off, Sand teams are awful, so that's another kick to the teeth. Second, while these abilities are good, they are not broken in any means. Third, if you lose your weather setters, these abilities are useless.

Who even said I use weather setters? Tyranitar and Hippowdon both have Sand Stream! Simple as that! And sandstorm is by far the best weather there is! It ruins SO many strategies! If you don't know how to use it then don't, but don't say that it's bad if you don't know just how useful it can be!
