Hey everyone! I am asking you: What is your oldest Pokemon game? Not your first Pokemon game, but the one that was released first. Mine is not actually mine, it's my brother's one but I also played it, is Pokemon Blue. It was okay until my brother did a crazy glitch with Missingno and ruined the game. Now the sprites are just... PATTERNS. Like blue and red squares with black lines.

Pokemon Blue.

Pokemon Green.

Silver

Pokemon silver, I traded my friend white for the silver. I think it was a good trade, but it needs a new battery.

Pokémon Blue :p

I still have my Mew there <3

I don't have it anymore though, but it was Pokemon Blue.

I sold my Pokemon Emerald not so long ago, since I didn't have anything anymore to play it :( Why did Nintendo remove the GBA port :(

My oldest game was probably Pokemon Yellow. Even though I started in generation four with diamond I ended up buying Pokemon yellow on Ebay. I don't really know why I ended up buying it, I think I needed a GBA game to put into the DS slot for a particular Pokemon spin off game. I think I bought it about the time Heat Gold and Soul Silver was released so I got it WAY after it was originally released.
When I started playing it I really felt the difference because I was only used the the most recent games. It definitely make it more difficult to play, one thing I really noticed was that as technology advances and the games technology advances it feels a lot more lifelike. So when I was playing Yellow with the really bad graphics and the lack of colour it felt as id there was more of a barrier between my and the game. I also found that the game was really slow and took way too long to progress. I don't remember specifics but I was so underlevelled one day I invited my friend round my house and all he done for the day was grind my Pokemon. Eventually I just gave up because I got lost in the cave. Oh I'm so glad the games have advanced so much!

Other than that the only other older games I won is Emerald which I got from my aunt at Christmas (It was probably around the same time as I got Yellow now that I think about it). Emerald was actually a very good game, although it did make me believe that their was a battle frontier in every game which most likely started my obsession with the battle frontier in the first place. (They should bring it back so I can actually beat it for once!)

They were the only games I own prior to the generation 4 games. I really wished I started Pokemon sooner as I feel as though I missed so much throughout generations one to three.

Pokemon Spaphire. It wasn't orginally mine tho. :p I wanted to play the game but they don't sell old Pokemon games here anymore so my cousin gave her Sapphire cartridge to me. I never got to finish it tho :< I got stuck in the middle of Victory Road, left it like that and started the game again because I was bored. xD

Pokemon Gold, I believe. I never had any experience in any Pokemon game so I didn't know what to do. Plus it was in Japanese so I couldn't understand and I eventually got stuck after eating the 6th Gym I think. Thereafter it was endless grinding.

If it counts at all, I do recall a time where my brother borrowed a friend's Pokemon Ruby and I got to see it for a few moments but I didn't do anything other than walk around xD

My first Pokemon I played was on a website called PlayR, and I played the silver version. It wasn't bad, but the new ones are obviously better. I probably got to like the third gym before i quit to the Pokemon Black, which was a major upgrade from the Gba game.

My oldest game that I own would be Pokémon Emerald. Too bad that the save data in Pokémon Emerald is already gone 'cos of battery running dry, though. And if you count Pokémon games that I borrowed or the games that are later released as part of Virtual Console, Pokémon Yellow would fit in the criteria as well, since I first borrowed it from my cousin's, and then decided to buy it in form of VC several months ago.

My first was Yellow along with the special edition gameboy color. I loved it and played obsessively and my dad got angry at me for playing so much, so he took it and drove over it in front of me :'(

If I still has my Nintendo 64, it'd be Pokémon Puzzle League, Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Snap. My sister owned those games before I was even born so, yeah, they'd be older than me xD Ruling out those 3 though, my oldest Pokémon game is Emerald. I got it even before I got my first GBA, I had the box sitting in my room for a rough 3 months until Christmas time came around and got my console. I've replayed so many times now that I know every little hidden secret and detail about it, I think I could play t blindfolded even! XD

Almost three complete years behind,I've received my first Pokémon game, and that was Pokémon White Version.I came in pretty late I know. :p
I was planning on asking my father to send me the game as a present when I read about it on a Nintendo World magazine and got my curiosity had the option, but other games came in the way,and it was only on Children's Day of 2013 that I've finally received it.It would also be the last time I was allowed to ask something from him for that day because, well,I guess I'm becoming too old for it. :coffee:
I spent almost the entire afternoon and evening playing the game on the day I've added it to my DS library, and managed to complete the main story in one or two weeks.Good times those were...

People over here are talking about the first pokemon games, while the oldest Pokemon game I have is Soul Silver.
So I guess I'm not Mr. Classic, but I have been thinking about getting some of the virtual console pokemon games!
Maybe I'll get Pokemon Yellow for some Pikachu action, or maybe the originals before Yellow.

The oldest one I have is my red version I have had it since Pokemon came out. Sadly it does not work anymore but I still keep it cause it was the first one I ever played/owned.
