The Hero in Green
Towns Folk
I have a bit of money left in the 3DS eShop ($6.80) and I was thinking of buying one of the classic Zelda games. On one of my last threads, a user told me a bit about it and it sounded interesting. So, are the classic Zelda games worth it? Are they easy to understand? Does it have a good story? Is the game short or long or endless? I thank you for any information in advance!

The classic Zelda games are definitely worth it :D and I think that the best suggestion would be Zelda: Link's Awakening DX. The game has a nice interface and a really good story and the puzzles and stuff are both challenging and fun. The game does last long. It cost's $5.99.

There are some others that might interest you:
  • LoZ: Oracle of Ages/Seasons [$5.99 each] - It has a very similar interface to Link's Awakening, but the story's more better when you buy both
  • Zelda 2: Adventure of Link [$4.99] - This one's side-scrolling and quite difficult if I so say myself xD
  • The Legend of Zelda [$4.99] - The very first of the Zelda games. I'd also suggest this because it's quite the unique Zelda experience. It's kinda frustrating but it never really gets boring though I died many times trying xD I'd suggest this but DX has a more user-friendly experience.
Hope that helps :)

If you are talking about the NES Zelda games, you can expect them to be hard. The story is something you can find by reading the manual or waiting long enough for some text to appear. In the other Zelda games, the story is explained in text, which the original Zelda games didn't do during the gameplay. They are worth playing, and they are somewhat long.
