Sooner or later nin10DOH will run out of ideas for pokemon. They should pay to use fan-art of pokemon. Go ahead, google fan-made pokemon. All are 10x better than a ring of fairy keys. People who love pokemon enough should be better than someone paid to think up a trash bag pokemon. OPEN WORLD pokemon games, like poke-skyrim! Or at least interact more with ur pokebros. Like i wanna take a pokeselfie or have my pokemon walk with me! Please stop the legendary/noob abuse...

I agree that some fanart Pokemon are much better than some of the recent Pokemon we have been getting, but running out of ideas is unlikely, since as times passes new people will join and bring in new ideas. I do hope that Game Freak will notice some fanart ideas though, since they could really do with it.

PokeSkyrim would be amazing, will likely never happen because Game Freak are likely going to try to keep improving on the competitive side of things instead of focusing on making the single-player aspects of Pokemon better.

A Pokemon MMO style game would be very interesting and an open-world with features such as Skyrim's can be incorporated into it - this sort of idea would have a lot of potential, if players can interact with other players in the open world of the game.

Sure Pokemon fan art are cool but I doubt game freak is running out of ideas lol On the other hand, they did make Spinarak after a drawing from a little kid who is asked to draw a spider lol And don't say that a bunch of egg, a ball, or a bunch of magnets are Pokemon if you don't agree with a ring with keys lol

Pokemon open world is nice I think they already did it with Pokepark? lol anyways I know what you're getting at lol Pokemon open world looks awesome at first but it kinda loses the feel of pokemon. Instead of turn based battles, people would just spam attacks without any means of strategy wouldn't they? and isn't Pokemon already open world? lol ok moving on lol

I agree with MMO Pokemon but keeping that many data from different places in that game, wouldn't the game override if that was sort to happen? that game would be filled with people and traffic would be a problem literally traffic when theres a lot of people in the server lol

Yeah that's true, it won't be possible on 3ds, maybe even not on the next generation handheld, but on the next generation of Nintendo's home console (NX?) it's fathomable (not that Pokemon will ever go to console, I'd prefer it to stay handheld anyway xD).

True, a console can take that much data from that kind of a game but isn't Pokemon meant to be played portable? Pokemon is meant to be played by you, the trainer, going to different places(Event only pokemons, tournaments, etc), meeting new friends or play with your old friends (Hence, local communication lol). Now Pokemon has wifi, now you can play with people from all over the globe. But playing Pokemon with other people in real life has that different feeling than when you play it online lol They did release Pokemon games from consoles but the game usually needs the Pokemon game from handhelds to have the best experience with it lol Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that Pokemon is supposed to be played portable and sure online does give it some benefits but the experience is different entirely lol

I got deep there didn't I? lol

Yeah, I'd also like for it to stay portable as well, for all your reasons and for the fact that usually the handheld is cheaper so I have a higher chance of getting it. xD

Ditto on the PokeMMO. I want to see a game that has more than 2 regions. An open world game would be cool, but, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Pokemon GO open world? It's our open world. I mean, I don't think it has any RPG elements, but you can go wherever you want with your Pokmon. I think this is the next big step.

Royalties alone are what keep fanart from making their way in to mainseries titles. Additionally, I'd rather have resources go toward improved game mechanics and a fixed framerate with 3D than fan-made designs. Sure, some of them are good, but a large amount of them are overdesigned.

Mechanically, I like the main series games retaining the core gameplay mechanics that they've built on since gen 1. I won't say a tie-in MMORPG wouldn't sell well, but it would alienate a large amount of Pokemon fans that don't like that genre. Much like a lot of people are not going to play Pokken because they don't like fighting games, Nintendo woudn't replace the mainseries cashgrab with something untested, although I can see them someday releasing an MMO as a companion/side game like they are doing with Pokken.

DLC for added regions would be pretty neat. I wasn't a big fan of a few of the regions, but I wouldn't say no to revisiting them in future titles as downloadable content. Pay 5 dollars to access Sinnoh? I'd pay that. Likely, I'd pay money for any of the other regions, which could be accessed by train or something. Being able to download only the ones you want could make it so everyone gets the same main game story, but their post game is strictly original to them based on the region dlc they purchased.
