Believe it or not, I was the exact opposite! I was Torchic and my partner was Riolu! Those two make the best possible combination out of all the Pokemon that are available in the Time/Darkness/Sky games! They only have one bad thing about them (weak to ground), but only after they both evolve and that super annoying Earthquakes and Earth Powers that hit the entire room were a pain! During the story though, they were both great!

I was a Shinx and my partner was a Mudkip :3 I remember I used to always nickname my Mudkip Kippy since I always thought it matched really good 
It was a nice duo except I had such a hard time fighting Groudon I had to use sticks for damage 
Another set of partners would be Eevee and Pikachu though I never finished the game with those two xP

I was a Riolu and my partner was a Shinx in the Sky version. I cheated to get Riolu (googled the answers needed to get it).
It just seemed like the best Pokemon to be. The others are just average. I think the combo was very effective in dungeons. Fighting attacks managed to get me very far within the game. xD
My nickname was Mika of course, although Riolu was of a male gender.

PS: Doy ou all remeber the final task you needed to do, touching the lower screen? I was a kid back then and got chills down my spine because I actually thought it was reading my soul!

So in the original i was bulbasaur and i picked torchic for a partner, and i was happy with that.
When i got explorers of sky i thaught more about who to play and settled with me being charmander and for my partner, why not take pikachu i thaught. But the question system wasn't all that accurate, with different questions everytime you don't always match the right personallity.

When in Explorers Of Sky, I was going as Bulbasaur with Eevee as the partner, meanwhile in Gates To Infinity, I'm taking a role of Pikachu with Oshawott as the partner. The latter were a perfect combo that I managed to clear the game, especially when I taught both of them Discharge and Blizzard.

Rescue Team: Charmander and Pikachu. But the one I remember keeping the longest was when I was an Eevee, and my partner a Pikachu.

Gates to Infinity: I believe it was Oshawott and Snivy. I haven't touched my file in a long time.
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon: Fennekin and Riolu. As of now, Snivy and Oshawott but the first mentioned will always stay the most special.

On Blue Rescue I was a Charmander and my partner was a Squirtle. On Explorers of time, I was a Chimchar and my Partner was a Piplup. On Explorers of sky, I was a Shinx and my partner was still a Piplup. 
On gates to infinity I was an Axew and I think my partner was an Oshawott? I'm not sure because I didn't really finish the game. Compared to the previous ones, it was just unbearably cringeworthy for me.

When I played Blue, I had Meowth & Pikachu as my team and named it Team FourthWall in a reference to the pokémon anime where those two pokémon were rivals.
I think that when I first did the quiz it gave me Cubone, and I went through with Cubone originally but restarted after a while due to lack of immersion without my desired team? I don't remember who my partner with Cubone was.

May I? For me it was a wonderful experience when I got me and my panther in most of the games. And here they are...
First game I played: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of darkness
- My Pokemon here was a Totodile, which by the way is my favorite starter. And my partner was Charmander. Ah, wonderful times.
Next is: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky
- Here, my Pokemon was Mudkip, and my partner was Riolu. Even to this day, I still have that team.
Also on the list is: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team
- When I first tried the quiz in this game it was originally a Mudkip. But I didn't want to repeat my self. ( Also want to mention this, every time I give my honest answers in the quiz is "ALWAYS" a water type.
) So I tried again and this time it was a Machop. And my partner was a Cyndaquil. A unique experiences .

Now I'm currently playing Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon and ...:
- I decided to choose Myself as a Totodile for the good old times in explorers, and I let the quiz decide my partner. And it turned out to be a Tepig.
