For us anime fans we can all agree that animating or even drawing anime is hard enough has it is. There are many types of genres to anime and I was wondering what kind of genre is hard to use in anime, not animation wise, but more like story wise.

I believe that card game animes are hard to use because you gotta have a lot of information on the cards and the formation of the game style and remember to not op the characters/cards.

Let me know what you folks think! :cat:

I'm not really sure which genre would be the hardest to animate but I guess really good action ones. I would say they easiest would probably be comedy because facial expressions and movements are usually limited (which is fine with comedic effect).

Story-wise though, I think a thriller would be difficult. You have to find a way to keep people on their feet almost at all times and that is a difficult task to do.

I think horror is the most difficult, hence the reason why there aren't many good horror anime. I think it's mainly because it's a lot harder to make something animated scary than something more realistic so it has to rely on a really good story to make it scary, which is why I like Higurashi so much c:
I also think it's harder to make jumpscares in anime than in live-action movies buuut I'm not really a fan of the kinda horror movies that just put a jumpscare every 2 minutes and have a super cliche plot >_< *cough the Grudge cough*
