What's the best way to a shiny pokemon in ORAS?

I suggest trying mesuda method again, along with doing horde encounters. they're the easiest methods imo as you can't "break" it and they have higher shiny chances.
for horde encounters you just need sweet scent. the chances for a shiny in this method are about 1/800 so I'd do this one if you want a shiny asap.
are you using a foreign ditto and flame body pokemon for mesuda??? try starting off with a Pokemon that doesn't have many steps for hatching. also try collecting the eggs first then hatching them later doing the hatching loop (Idk how to explain it but there are many vids of it on Youtube).

I'll just say what he says for Horde Hunting, the method I favour, so credit to him and the other YouTubers involved, TheJustinFlynn and RanaeCollects.
What you'll need: Sweet Scent (Pokemon move), or Honey (item)
The odds for each Pokemon, assuming you have the Shiny Charm and such, are 1/1365. But, these odds are for each of the 5 Pokemon that appear, which makes it one of the fastest methods of Shiny Hunting.
Just make sure to not knock out the Shiny pokemon by accident, and don't use multi-Pokemon attacks.

The best way to getting a shiny Pokemon is using the shiny charm along with the dex nav. As potential increases to finding a pokemon the chances of being a shiny also increases. Just look it up on youtube and you will see what I am talking about. 3 stars pretty much guarantees you to encountering a shiny. But using the dex nav also requires patience.

Best way for legends depends. Usually you'd like to get a shiny charm. That takes a while, but if you really want a shiny legend you'd probsbly want it anyway. It'll take tons and tons of soft resetting your game, which could take a while, but eventually you WILL get that shiny legend. Unless of course it's shiny locked, in which case you're 100% completely out of luck.

Aim for shiny charm. I used to get a shiny pokemon every time I started ev training. I once got three shiny zigzagoons within 10 mins of each other in horde battles. I hate them.
I started playing again a few days ago since summer. Was in the safari. Found a shiny psyduck randomly. It really boosts your chances.

Well really the musada method and chain fishing are the easiest most reliable ways, however each have a large amount of luck to them, with fishing it should take around 50 casts however I have been upto near 100 before and if your hatching eggs its all hit and miss you could hatch a shiny in 10 eggs or in 1000, fishing is the easiest way yet you can only catch certain Pokémon

I think that one of the best ways is with the poke nav... using it multiple time doing a chain in the wild can get u shiny's if you are lucky and also you can get its hidden ability which helps for competitive. I don't usually care if my pokemon are shiny or not but that is a good method of having them though.
