A large part of the Internet talks about Fortnite, Fortnite and more Fortnite. I see it in most places I come across. I just opened up Twitter a moment ago and saw this large logo for it :panda:

It's getting to be as popular as Overwatch.

What's the big deal about it? According to Wikipedia, it's going to see a full release in 2018 and it's going to be free. Maybe that's the reason? People find it's good and it's free so instant popularity like Team Fortress?

Idk either
I might die off when it comes out on Android thou if smash bros comes first

It's a free battle royale shooter, like PUBG but more refined and with building.

It's colourful, gets new content constantly, is free to play, full of memes, you can play it with friends, and everyone wants to win and brag about their victory on social media. That about sums the popularity up.

It’s the popular new shooter. And it includes building. It has good game modes and you can play woth your friends. It caught on with the popular people, and now soooooo many people play it

I first heard about Fortnite from school classmates. I play it frequently now. It's really quite fun and addictive :p I suppose it's really popular in part due to plenty of Youtubers and Twitch streamers playing this game and in turn profiting with thousands to millions of views.

It also doesn't seem like the popularity is going to fade away anytime soon. :panda:

I don't know about it, but overwatch is definitely better than fortnite!

I actually really dislike the Battle Royale mode. It's taken everyone's interest away from what the game actually is, which is the Save the World co-op campaign. Currently you have to pay to get access to it, but it should be going free some time this year.

I love Save the World, it's hilarious, rewarding, and great fun to play. So many different missions, quests and just things to do. Unfortunately because the Battle Royale mode is free, that's all people know the game as, and very few people actually know about the Save the World mode.

I highly recommend looking up things on Save the World. The game-play is still similar, but it's not PvP, it's PvE. I still play this mode all the time with my friends, we never really play the battle royale mode anymore even though we've all gotten enough V-bucks from the Save the World mode to kit us out for the next year or so.

It’s a decent shooooter that happens to free at least for its more popular mode battle royale

I have never tried it and not sure if I will or not. All of my friends talk about it all the time and they say I must play it. I see the main reason for it being so popular is probably because it's free and like others have said it's a decent game.

Dude, you don’t know anything about fortnite so you can’t hate on it yet. One of the big reasons it’s popular is because it is free, so you can go try it whenever. Another reason it’s popular is that it works even on not super great computers. Its a game similar to the wildly popular pubg, while being more colorful and kid friendly, as well as having dances that are becoming meems, especially the take the L dance.

Fortnite is this year’s popular shooter, and will most likely carry over to 2019, considering its popularity. There’s two versions of the game: Save The World (which is the campaign mode), and Battle Royale mode, the latter being significantly more popular.

Save the World is a paid early access campaign mode, that will become free in early 2019. Battle Royale is most likely what you’ve been hearing of this whole time. It’s free, and indeniably popular. I’ve okayed the game, and it’s actually quite an enjoyable experience. Just be careful when playing, as they can easily suck you in and you’ll be spending money on VBucks (the in game currency used to buy outfits, Emotes, etc.) in no time.

There’s also the Battle Pass. It costs $10.00, and gives you access to challenges. Complete these challenges, and you’ll get EXP and Battle Stars. Battle Stars ar used to upgrade your Tier. There’s 100 Tiers per Battle Pass, each one containing a different reward. Put short, the Battle Pass makes the game three times more fun. It gives you actual objectives, rather than running around blindly trying to get a win, and you can get skins, Emotes, toys, music, wraps and more when you Tier up.

So yeah, basically, there’s a lot to do in this game. Thats probably why you’ve seen it everywhere. :redpanda:

Free goes a long way, as do the social aspects of the game. Epic also continuously updates Fortnite to keep the content fresh, and that keeps gamers engaged.
