Mario and luigi partners and time is my favorite spin off. Not only is there a nice story, its really cool how they meet their younger selves and uncover secrets and battle epic bosses. It gives shivers down your spine. It has some dialogue but not as bad as dream team was, which was terrible.

My favorite Mario spin-off game is Mario Kart 7. It has the feel of Mario Kart Wii with comfy controls all on a handheld system for playing anywhere or on the go. It makes me sad that I chewed up the game and broke it when it stopped reading properly but hey, I got the best years out of it.

Paper Mario, by far. All three titles were AAA titles to me. The dialogue is funny, the combat/battle system is great, and the level design, innovation, and originality is what really makes it shine. The flip from 2D to 3D was awesome. I've never seen something as original as that in a video game before. Also, the storylines are always really good. There's even some dark moments.

My favorite spin-off was one that became more than just a spin-off. Yes, I'm talking about the one, the only, Wario Land! This game had such an interesting concept where coins were concerned, and this carried over into future games in the series. Eventually, Wario Land became its own series, fully distinct from Mario Land.
