Which 3DS pokemon game should I get?

Unless you tell us what you prfer to do in-game we can't really suggest something. X/Y are more for those who want to enjoy the adventure, go to restaurants, customize their appearance, etc., while OR/AS is more for those who prefer competitive battling, breeding, etc. Without having any more details, I prefer Omega Ruby, but it all depends on what you want to do the most.
 
X or Y
Set the standard for modern day visuals, the newest wave of Pokemon and plenty of nice little online features (wonder trade, friend safari, ect)

Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby
One of the best Pokemon games I have played in a long time. It has all the same things going for it that X and Y had and more. Better region and story as well.
 
I think X/Y for which Pokemon game.
 
If you have never played the original ruby game, then i would recommend oras, but if you want a better storyline and something different i would recommend x and y.
 
There are actually many reasons why to take XY, and why to take ORAS

Why XY?
1. There is a lot of adventure
2. A lot of places to go, especially in Lumiose city. So many cafes and restaurants and other places.

Why Not XY?
Lack of post game stuff

Why ORAS?
1. Another experience if you liked RSE
2. Very good storyline
3. Access to a lot of great new mega evolution.
5. (most important in my opinion) Being able to soar through the skies to go to islands and catch a lot of legendaries

Overall, I would say ORAS. With all the points mentioned above, most of the online competitions and events nowadays are also on ORAS, som I recommend it
